Re: Just Crashed!
this tbh, maybe before the quick edit ;)
You're tyres are either bald or you were flying. Don't see how he could take off, you don't follow and you still hit him
I'd also be so p*ssed if my mate hit my new focus
It was hollowed out inside and then just what looks like somewhere you 'could' put a rubber ring type gasket, want a pic when I take it off again at easter?
I just used some loctite 5910 which after a bit of research is going to do it rightly and i'll use the same on the rocker cover to reseal...
I've heard mixing coolant types can create a gunk. Can you see any oil, drops under the ground, dirty bay or manifold?
I think its white in the oil cap or dip stick and a nasty(er than normal) smell in the coolant tank your looking for
Slightly less noise mate but I need a proper filter so that may very well change. As far as power or anything, I havn't really had a chance but doesn't seem any changes so far.
It's due for mapping over easter again once cams go in so i'll prob power run it before if I get a chance
.. few questions about when I'll be fitting new cams over the next free weekend.
Is there anything specific that needs done, like lubing them up or cleaning anything in particular (oh hello) they aren't new cams but new to my engine?
I presume the cams will be able to be moved pretty easy once...
Definately worth having a stab anyway! Think my epoxy resin and hardener was 20, hardest part is getting that at the right mix and heat. I think using a standard kevlar would look ace and is much stronger than carbon I think
Thanks mate, yeah from new really. I had a 7inch long section to base it on and then just found tubing from b&q that fitted inside that. Used the tube as a mould and wrapped around that placed on glass to create the flat part. Time consuming but not too hard really.
Definitely cheaper than...
:rasp: I missed out on ben's so jumped when dave was selling his! Cheers mate, not up to epic standards yet but i'm just waiting to see what you do then copy it :)
Ok so with the few parts turning up bit by bit I finally got a chance this weekend to get started on some, finish off others and get a few things fitted. It's going to be easter for the cams as I still need to pick up a dephaser pulley.
So you may remember I posted that I would be using this...
I always wondered why more didn't just stick them on metal strips that are bolted to the floor.
You could just the same principle for the standard runners Nick, just a wide and long enough plate bolted to the runners and the sidemounts then bolted to the plate
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Oooooh fancy, are the saddle joints there ready for a front half or needs welding again? Pretty sweet they are still doing those prices!
At least its getting sorted dude, nightmare about having to fork out though! Did Matt say what the issue was or is he going to find out when it's going in?
Heres the oilways you would have to block off before thinking about idle and that.
Theres a good few, dont even know what you'd use to fill them either
