Yep thats where im getting to mate. At least you have clarified I was doing the right thing to get there. Still won't connect though, I just assumed the same code reader that works mk2s, meganes etc works for mk3s? The u380
Thats what I was trying dude, if i press once the radio and that come on but I need the next step, just before ignition. Like it would be using a normal key, the different positions!
Trying to get a 197 to connect to the code reader, and I know I need to get the car into acc (where all the dash lights appear and stay lit)
I'm putting the key car in the slot and holding the start button for about 8 seconds and the lights appear but then disappear again and still the code...
Small update.
Replaced the standard rubber topmounts for some AST solid ones. A much much better turn in feel and gives a decent level of camber/castor adjustment compared to the camber bolts I was using.
Only downside is every bump and crash is felt slightly more... something I can live with...
I think they are damping adjustable and obviously height. Need to change the springs to change spring rates. Should be a screw either on the top or on the side of the shock to adjust the rebound
I'd say its got into the coilpack, plugs or sucked some in. A good run let the engine warm up and dry everything of might do the trick. I wouldn't worry about the light for a while, rack up a good few miles and you might find it'll turn itself off if its running grand.
If not i'll turn it off...
I take it its taking a vacuum from the manifold somewhere? Should be fine to use that I would have thought. Failing that a vacuum servo motor off a turbo diesel car running off the cams will give you instant vacuum.

Picked these up off Ben a few weeks back and just havn't had the chance to get them on to have a look.
