Hey Ben do you know if it is legal to have N20 installed when your car goes for an MOT? Or would it need to be removed?
Also at a guess how do you think 25bhp jets would improve my acceleration? As standard 0-60 = 11.5secs
Also would it be necessary/ a good idea to get a remapped chip fitted...
I am interested for sure.
A couple of questions
- With DIY fitment is it easy to go wrong? Im not a total novice when it comes to wielding a spanner, but with something like NOS I am obviously a bit cautious. I dont want my clio to go bang bang.
- How easy is it to source refils?
- What...
In my car I am running:
6" front components amped by Alpine 2 channel
4 x Sony 6x9s amped by Sony 4 channel
2 x 12" RM subs amped by Vibe 2 channel
Everything is fine except with the front components. As you might expect from this system there is loads of sound in the rear, so to...
Ill try this post again as the forum clock screwed it up last time.
I am buying a wheel and tyre package soon on a somewhat limited budget. The company have offered me either Khumo tyres or for an extra £5 per corner, Falkens.
Anyone heard of Khumo (theyre Japanese right?) and any opinion on...
Just looked at the pics Nick posted on the other thread of his custm CDA
I reckon weve got a lot more room to play with under the bonnet, the only promlem being that any filter we use, CDA/Twister etc, will have to come down right from the top of the engine bay. A big induction feed will be...
Did you try heating it up?
I think I know what Brun is up to coz I was thinking of the same kind of thing.
I was going to be one of those Twister air filters - the ones with the aluminium heat shield and then plumb it in using silicon hose. Like Brun said it would require a 100mm diameter...
I posted a thread entitled has anybody heard of khumo tyres
It appeared that vr6man had replied but when I go to view the thread it says there are no topics relating to this thread on the database
Then I noticed another topics entitled 2 year/24000 mile service which says I am the topic...

I didnt think anybody had asked him to leave. I know the issue was raised as to whethr Joe was going to join the club and from what I gathered he felt he didnt need to pay because he offers so many useful threads. (Not exact words, Im paraphrasing)
Have to say mate if you can afford a 172...

If I bought a kit thats listed for a 16v or williams would it fit straight onto my 1.4?
Also someone said that the 16v sits about 35mm lower than an RT as standard. Does that mean that a 35mm drop kit for a 16v would actually lower an RT by about 70mm?
Thanks for any help especially if I...
I was thinking of totally delocking my car and removing the passenger door handle all together. Then flushing the boot.
The old problem of what if the battery dies worries me too much though.
Yeah Freed I know what you mean.
It depends on your prorities. My uncle is a mechanic and he swears by ferrodo. But like Fred says even short journeys mean loads of dust.
They are very good from old though - This morning I got in my car (it had been sat for a day without being driven) and...
Yeah you can buy audi 80 handle plates I think they are around £100 and need to be welded into the door where the old one is removed. They look very good when colour coded.
The thing is on golfs etc the door is pretty flat so its straight forward to do. But on a clio doesnt the dorr bend out...
I have ferrodo pads on my lowly 1.4 but they work extremely well from cold. (As I learned this morning - Damn Jag drivers)
They do leave a fair bit of dust though

If you dont want dust then dont get Ferrodos
I have just had Ferrodo pads fitted as my front ones needed replacing. They are a very good brake and work fantastically when cold but as a result leave a lot of dust on my nice alloys.
Dont think I would get them again, purely because of the...
