Ben, you dont get a choice because your car is too shiny. Also youve already owned an as new Valver. Go and stand in the corner and think about us other drivers with are parking dents and stone chips.;)
A cup with 200 BHP would surely keep pace / outperform a V6 mk2 and so renault would shoot themselves in the foot offering similar performance cars but one at 12k and the other at 25k. Alot is about marketing.
Price isnt the most important factor IMO, but year i suppose it is one factor. If you go down the line of using price then you cant compare a cup and a mini, and you end up comparing a cup to really sh*te cars. I think size and spec are also important as well as target market.
Soz mate, i only just cleared some them and they are full again.:@. Cheers for that. Thats the second time ive caused you to lose a massive pm. Soz.
If the following cars were still made as brand new (with warantee, etc), by the manufacturers, would you buy one of these (if so which one) or go for one of the present crop of hot hatches if the prices were similar:
Mk1 Golf GTi
Clio Williams
Valver
Pug 205 GTi
Renault 5 GT Turbo...
Put them on the car hidden somwehere. They are advertising the engine (really what hillpower is about) so maybe somewhere under the bonnet hidden when the car is moving, but visible when the engine bay is open. There is a sill on the front arch that they fit on nicely. Then when ppl look at the...
Can i fit polyurethane bushes to the wishbone of my williams, and polyurethane to the inner antiroll bar, but put rubber on the outer roll bar? I have the polyurethane for these but the company doesnt do the outer antiroll bar in the shape i want. The price is pretty much the same but i couldnt...
On the end of my anti roll bar in the bush. The bush fits OVER the antiroll bar and then a u shaped clip attaches it to the antiroll bar.Now polyspot sent me polyurethane bushes that seem to bear no resemblance to the original bush. The ones they sent attach via a bolt which fits inside the...
They spent millions building the Titanic, but those bulk heads still didnt go all the way up to the lower decking. And we know the consequence of that. My point being that things are often overlooked.
According to the garage trying to fit them the polysport bushes i have look too big (compared to the standard rubber ones). Rallydesign assures me they are the correct ones. Anyone shed any light on this?
I have to agree with crono, i have researched this extensively and a weld is the best option. Originally i was going to get a new column, but its a waste of money and not the best thing for the car. If the weld is done properly by a professional there is no need for it to fail as the forces...
For that money i would buy a Williams, unless you have ur heart set on a Valver. But at the end of the day, its your choice. Look for the following common problems:
Rust on rear arches particularly the drivers side and also on the door sills
Loose steering. Sit in the car and rock the wheel...
What should i expect to pay for rear pads and discs? I beleive the bearing needs to be done with the disc? Help asap before garage rings back would be helpful.
Cheers
Just had all the dash off to grease the speedo cable as its jumping a bit at low speeds on my willy. Got it all off, but to be honest didnt really know where to grease. I put a bit on, and i noticed that there was a little bit of rust colour on the white plastic bit (end of the cable that comes...
Well tell me its ok to put the positive lead on last and ill try it, dont want to break it any more than it is. Also i cant try it till tomorrow as the neighbours are back now and they will just complain if the car alarm goes off, so ill try tomorrow morning. But thanks, i am listening and i...
What are the wires for that sit under the dash? On the passenger side there are two, what look like fuses, over a load of wires. Are they just dash stuff or are they part of my alarm, or both? Im having alarm trouble so i hope they are nothing to do with that as they got disturbed when i took...
Normally when i open the car dorr the alarm bips and i have 10 seconds to put the jack in. The i put a secong jack in to remove the imobiliser and then start the car. At first when i took off the negative lead of the battery, the alarm went off when i opened the door. I took the lead off and...
