    Exclusive Williams #002...

That's what I was getting at, as I said with matching shocks like the kit my mates has on his VTS, they're excellent. I was assuming Danny was going to be lowering on just springs though hence why I suggested Eibachs which are meant to be the best match for std shocks.

    Exclusive Williams #002...

It will be lower with sportlines, although not by a lot. Apex have a terrible reputation on here (as do P.I.) , oddly enough my mate has just had an apex 25mm kit fitted to his VTS and it rides reasonably and handles great...guess you gotta speak as you find.

Just steer clear of Apex! Sportlines/Prolines = tried and tested (and most importantly, approved!)

Sorted this guys - the 'red' cable had two female bullet connectors, plugged the yellow male bullet connector into that and it's all good now :)

    Head unit not remembering settings

Hi, More head unit related woes! My recently installed Alpine CDE-9880R won't remember any of my programmed settings or presets. Before anyone says, I have tried the old trick of swapping the red and yellow wires around. I thought his had sorted it, because when I tried it, turned the...

    Fitting aftermarket headunit

Managed to sort it in the end, cheers for the pointers! Only to find I've not got a live to the headunit after loads of fiddling!! Swapped the red and yellow wires round to no avail (usually sorts it)

    Fitting aftermarket headunit

Hi, I'm experiencing difficulty getting my Alpine head unit to go all the way back into the dash and sit flush with the fascia. It seems the wires are getting in the way too much. I've had this issue whenever I've fitted aftermarket head units in the past but always seem to have got round it...

    Why can't I find a decent 182 for around 2300.

Here: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3916433.htm Mileage is not an issue on these (as far as the major mechanicals are concerned) providing there's adequate servicing.

My Ford Racing Puma... Advert Chat etc...

Far too much information to digest IMO. Just looks like you're embellishing it and comes across as a bit too much. The car's history, the money spent and the condition should mean that the car should sell itself and render all the wafty romantic stuff unnecessary.

Possible final wash of my Ph1 :(

Most PH1's have got that kind of bubbling now. Mine has on just the one. What's involved to get it done, old arch cut out and new one welded in?

    My PH1 on pistonheads

Most have them now anyway. Mine has on just the one, but it's pretty rusty!

Pattern part rear shocks making PH1 172 sit higher?

Look like a bargain to me! I'm still tempted now to get a Puma and fit those bits to it, reckon it'd drive mint! All the parts he has are bits for Ford racing prototypes that that never got produced, like the Ford Racing KA. some FRK wheels would look epic!

Pattern part rear shocks making PH1 172 sit higher?

It'll be eibachs with standard shocks that I'll be going for, don't want anything too harsh for road use and want to keep the spending down. ^ Duck, for your Puma should be looking no further than a Ford Racing suspension kit (google Chris Birbeck rally school) - 20mm kit with eibach springs...

Pattern part rear shocks making PH1 172 sit higher?

Sportlines are definitely on the agenda (know of any for sale?), more likely to be paired up with some new genuine Renault shocks.

Pattern part rear shocks making PH1 172 sit higher?

Cheers for the responses. Yes now you mention it, there are mentions of springs being replaced on a couple of invoices, couldn't say whether they were front or rear though, appears to be the odd one here and there.

Pattern part rear shocks making PH1 172 sit higher?

Hi, I'm sure I read somewhere on here before that pattern part rear shocks can make 172's/182's sit funny. Looking at some of the PH1's on here, that aren't even lowered, they look noticeably lower on the rear than my PH1 does. It sits very high. The car has had replacment rear shocks in the...
