Ive had a run like this recently, breaking screws, threading stuff rounding nuts off etc lol!! But how exactly did you break an injector changing the oil filter lol?? Did the fuel rail gaurd get stuck or something?
That's what I was getting at, as I said with matching shocks like the kit my mates has on his VTS, they're excellent.
I was assuming Danny was going to be lowering on just springs though hence why I suggested Eibachs which are meant to be the best match for std shocks.
It will be lower with sportlines, although not by a lot.
Apex have a terrible reputation on here (as do P.I.) , oddly enough my mate has just had an apex 25mm kit fitted to his VTS and it rides reasonably and handles great...guess you gotta speak as you find.
Hi,
More head unit related woes!
My recently installed Alpine CDE-9880R won't remember any of my programmed settings or presets.
Before anyone says, I have tried the old trick of swapping the red and yellow wires around. I thought his had sorted it, because when I tried it, turned the...
Managed to sort it in the end, cheers for the pointers!
Only to find I've not got a live to the headunit after loads of fiddling!! Swapped the red and yellow wires round to no avail (usually sorts it)
Hi,
I'm experiencing difficulty getting my Alpine head unit to go all the way back into the dash and sit flush with the fascia. It seems the wires are getting in the way too much.
I've had this issue whenever I've fitted aftermarket head units in the past but always seem to have got round it...

Mileage is not an issue on these (as far as the major mechanicals are concerned) providing there's adequate servicing.
Far too much information to digest IMO. Just looks like you're embellishing it and comes across as a bit too much.
The car's history, the money spent and the condition should mean that the car should sell itself and render all the wafty romantic stuff unnecessary.
Look like a bargain to me! I'm still tempted now to get a Puma and fit those bits to it, reckon it'd drive mint!
All the parts he has are bits for Ford racing prototypes that that never got produced, like the Ford Racing KA. some FRK wheels would look epic!
It'll be eibachs with standard shocks that I'll be going for, don't want anything too harsh for road use and want to keep the spending down.
^ Duck, for your Puma should be looking no further than a Ford Racing suspension kit (google Chris Birbeck rally school) - 20mm kit with eibach springs...
Cheers for the responses.
Yes now you mention it, there are mentions of springs being replaced on a couple of invoices, couldn't say whether they were front or rear though, appears to be the odd one here and there.
How childish and juvenile do CS members want to be, arguing over the 'best cup on the site' comment. Get a life?
It obviously is to the OP and thats the main thing.
Hi,
I'm sure I read somewhere on here before that pattern part rear shocks can make 172's/182's sit funny.
Looking at some of the PH1's on here, that aren't even lowered, they look noticeably lower on the rear than my PH1 does. It sits very high.
The car has had replacment rear shocks in the...
