I replaced mine as they were knackered.
I could have gone for standard sized upgraded stuff, but as I am running 17s Ithought the larger disks would look better. The main benefit is the stopping power, which should always be the highest priority.
I am not upgrading the backs though, I am...
This should fit with 15s, as the kit that Rally Design used to sell was the same size and that needed a minimum of 15s to fit.
I have this on my 16v, but Im running 17s and there is plenty of room to spare.
Very inpressed with this kit. Have a look my pics on the Exterior, power & mechanical...
Ive only done about 150 miles on them so far, but they are getting better all of the time.:D
One thing I will say is that the kevlar pads that come with the kit are alot better once warmed up a little. This isnt a problem as I let the engine warm up anyway. The upside of the pads is that there...
As promised.

Ill get them done professionally as I want to de-lock the doors, remove the side rubbing strips and generally clean up the exterior as some little bstard keyed the side of the car 4 times!:@

When I spoke to the guy at Rally Design, he said that they stopped selling them last year and that they shouldnt have been listed in this years brochure. He didnt tell me why.
He did say that they may be bringing out a Wilwood kit for the 16v/Williams at some point, but he couldnt give me a...
Do you reckon I could cut away the bumpstrips so that they are nearly flush with the rest of the bumper and fill the gap with filler?
Or do I risk making the bumper too weak.
Thanks
James
Fairly easy.
The problems on mine stem from the brakes having had no maintenance whatsoever for a number of years.
The pads had about 2mm left and the disks looked like they had been on their at least 5 years.
Once I had done one side, the other side was fairly straight forward.
Just be...
Ive only done about 15 miles on them so far, but I can already notice the difference. Im sure after a couple of hundred, they will stop the car very well.

Give it a go yourself. I am going to be doing mine in the next couple of weeks.
Just make sure that you spray the torsion bar spindles with WD-40 a week or 2 before you attempt to do it.

They cost me £273.78 in total. That included £8.00 P&P and £40.78 VAT.
I should think that they would fit inside 15s as they are 285mm wide and the big disk conversion from Rally Design which are 285mm (they dont do these any more!) require a minimun of 15s to fit.
The kit includes the zinc...
I fitted a set of these today. Look really good behind my 17s and the braking performance is damn good.:)
But, what a nightmare to fit.
First of all, the screws holding the disks on rounded off, so I had to drill them out and replace them.
Then the bolts holding the caliper carriers on...
Looks nice mate. Cant wait to get my leather in now that I have seen your pics.
BTW. Where are those subframes from as I need to get a set for my seats.
Thanks
James
Those skirts are nice, they suit the lines of the Clio well.
i would like to know what they are as well, as I have been after a set of skirts for a while now, but couldnt find a set I liked.
James
The standard Renault ones are supposed to be pretty good.
Ive bought a set of these when I first got the car as the ones in there were knackered and they sorted things out.
Andyspares fo them for £29.50.

I am lowering my 16 valve in the next couple of weeks.
I have bought a Koni kit which will lower it by approx 35mm at the front, I will lower the back by the same amount.
Will I need to adjust the brake bias valve?
Thanks
