I remember EVO Magazines longterm Mk1, where they pissed and moaned about the cars manners on road and track, until they changed the geometry somehow, which apparently transformed the car into a track day hooligan.
Mine pulls like a Cnut to the left, so I am taking it down to Southam Tyres for...
I have noticed the gear change isnt too hot, especially not after the Integra. 4th to 3rd is a pain in the arse, sometimes wont engage.
A sequential six-gear box will sort that out.

Good article, now that I have read it, but I dont quite understand why they felt their Cup was unsettled on the road route, and why they felt it was softly sprung? That doesnt really coincide with my own observations.

Nice one! I usually only keep track of whats on Bookatrack. Are Easytrack good?
I might be able to persuade a friend of mine in an Accord Type-R as well...

I dont think they are that much faster than the standard 172, but they feel different to drive. My neighbour has a Mk2 172, which is a more pleasant machine to drive around, considerably quiter and with a more pliable ride. And with a decent interior.
The Cup, however is altogether a sharper...
Those are some pretty impressive figures, Mat!:)
What, may I ask, are your mods? I am interested as I once ran a fairly standard 19 16v( many years ago! ).
Cheers!

I can now abuse it up and down the Northamptonshire roads! It is pretty hard core. Not that far off my "old" Integra. I have to get out there and figure out if the clutch is slipping, because it seems to rev high when changing gears at high rpm. Did I hear someone else say that a while back...

Does anyone know what this "break problem" they supposedly have fixed is all about? I went in to my dealer today to ask what the delivery delay is, and was told that there was some kind of problem with the braking system with the Cups, but that it has been sorted now. So the car is due around...

I had the same discussion a while back on an American Integra Type-R board, where everyone gets around 160 bhp at the wheels, whereas over here 140 is the rule and perfectly normal, equating to around 190 bhp.
I never got a straight answer on why their rollers gave different readings.
Also...

Agree with BenR.
My Integra pushed 141 at the wheels and 191 at the flywheel.
The Scooby pushed 162 at the wheels and 245 at the flywheel.
My Evo 6 came out with 216 at the wheels and 306 at the flywheel.
The Caterham did 146 at the wheels, which equated to about 175-180 bhp at the...

Getting back to the Evo, mine did 60-100 in 6.8 seconds, which was pretty quick really.
Over a varied route, especially in pouring rain, I dont think there have been many cars mass produced ever that are faster.
Awesome. Awesome fuel consumpton, service, tyres, and ride quality as well...
