Dampers are smaller as mike says which gives them the reputation of a hard ride but not a prob if you get adjustable damping and besides normally coilover kits use a better quality damper unit than most spring & damper kits. For example by non damping adjustable FKs have as good a ride as OE!

If the airbox is away from the engine..like sitting next to a panel you can drill holes on the side next to the panel. You wont get gains but youll get a nice noise..better than any filter which will give you 2bhp IF you get it set up..people go OTT with filters on here anyway..

As far as i know FK dont do the kit for the 172, the lowest coilovers you can get for the 172 is the H&Rs (40mm) which would equal about 60mm on a non-sport..
Here she is 70mm back, 80mm front

Look under your car and give us a description of the springs, then you might find out what they actually are!
I think k-tec do some adjustable dampers.

Dont you find the OE brakes good enough? My dad has just ordered a turbo and were taking it to Castle Combe pretty much straight after he gets it. Ive driven elises and the brakes never seemed too bad, if not extraordinary..

Im going for the 4 pot 285mm kit (with braided hoses) from k-tec which are made by hispec. Ill let you know how it goes..
Ill be looking into an axle swap shortly for the rear but i know you can get conversions done which would be cheaper.
I would say the OE brakes are fine for general use...
When lowering your Clio it will change the camber to more negative which helps handling but you get uneven tyre wear. You can get camber bolts to adjust it back to normal. I opted for some mad castor and camber angles and have a demon of a car but the inside of my tyres are almost slicks..

To be fair if you look in your handbook the exhaust isnt covered by warranty at all. If they did make you pay Renault UK would take sides with your dealership, however i think most cough up with it being a known problem.

Mines sitting safely in the glovebox!!
Thing is, shouldnt there be a log in the ECU of it? Thats what i was thinking..and theyd be able to check it, but then again no one seems to know anything at my dealership..

My car did this, i restarted it and its been fine ever since! I did phone up Renault and all they said is bring it in next time if it happens again, lets hope next time it doesnt happen on the M25!

What because of needing the bumper and skirts on top? I thought theyd be more than that! Got a part no.? Unfortunately if i walk into my dealership they havent got a clue unless i have one..

I was lapping a couple of secs faster a lap than 2 172s and a Cup at brands, lapped a Lotus Cortina, caned an MX5, Pug XSI and GTI-6..all in a days work!
Im thinking about getting 172 front wings and blending them into my bumper, i think it will look good as the wings will look even more flared combined with the slimmer bumper, plus, i couldnt be accused of having a fake 172!
Anyone work for Renault where i can get these cheap(er)? Anyone got a...
