I think youll pick it up soon. I think the worst thing about going from an auto to a manual is that autos creep forward when you engage the box - so you get lazy on uphill junctions and tend to forget about neutral/handbrake at the traffic lights.
Itll take a while to get used to, and any...
I think youll actually find that the Lexus used for the Alan Partridge TV series is actually an IS300 badged down to an IS200. I cant remember why that is, but if you look at the trim/wheels of the car, its definitely an IS300 - Coogan himself admits this.
So, Mr Partridge, isnt it about...
Lofty: well, erm, Whiteladies Rd is actually where I live! I live on Melrose Place - as you go up Whiteladies, take the left literally just before the old ABC cinema (just after a BP garage on your left).
If you reckon thats OK then Ill give you more details. The postcode is BS8 2NQ (pop...
At least the 172s have had some advertising! The Clio 16v barely got any - guess it didnt need any to sell. So people are really surprised when what simply says "Renault" and "Clio" on the back gives them a very, very serious whopping!

Hey Lofty! Do you think you could make it to Whiteladies Road, near to the BBC? :D
I did a study of the Pucklechurch LETS scheme a few years ago - where people trade their services (like haircuts, homegrown veg, car mechanics, babysitting etc) for credits - and you redeem these credits for...
The GT Turbo looks wicked on Clio 16v wheels, mainly becuase theyre bigger Renault wheels. Nothing obvious has come up for the Clio 16v itself yet - mainly because the 172 wheels dont look any more meaty than the 16v ones.
Thats more or less what I have done to my 16v: head, manifolds, re-profiled cames, Verniers, PBV, new ECU and IK/exhuast. I bought the car from someone else who had the work done. The garage that did the work had the engine dynod (direct measuremnet at the fly, not the wheels) at 171bhp - I...
No water loss, although there was a minor leak from the radiator a while ago (radweld cured that). Cheers guys, will try the ideas this morning.
Lofty - Im probably going to cycle over to yours as my car is shacked up behind two others in our alley/compound at the flat in Bristol! PM me...

Thats mine - not the best picture, but the only one thats hosted on the web. Has a little extra under the bonnet too..
Just thought Id share some of the glory days of the Mk1 Clio with you all.
Whens the last time you saw a FWD hatch keeping up with the WRC 4WD nutter crew like this!:
Monte Carlo Rally (21st - 26th January)
1.
Sainz / Moya
Subaru Impreza 555
6hrs 32mins 31secs
2...
The bubbles are fairly big, in comparison with kettle bubbles anyway.
Theres also masses of vapour from the exhaust, but I think thats pretty normal at this time of the year. Theres no water in the oil and vice versa.
I went through all these checks a few weeks ago when my engine spat...
Hmmm...new thermostat was fitted 16k miles ago...
BTW Colin, what sort of wheels have you got on your Maxi - and how did you get them to fill the arches? Spacers? Mega offset?

:( Can you find a lock-up locally? Might be worth it if you look at it this way: £30 per month = £360 a year for a lock up...but how much will a break-in cost you?
