It beeps 3 times if you lock the car too soon after shutting the doors, the ECU needs a couple of seconds before arming the alarm. Try taking 2 steps before activating the key fob.

The 182 has a CAT 2 immobiliser and a CAT 1 alarm so I wouldn't worry mate! As for the splitter it's probably been damaged by the previous owner. They're pricey at about £170 brand new from Renault! :eek: Enjoy the car tho mate! :rasp:
