From personal experience, the tensioners can be replaced and the air bag lights goes off. This shouldn't be affected by the ecu swap. But for good measure I would get the ecu recoded.
You can just apply for a new v5c with the v62 yourself. Chances are the previous named owner sold the car for cash and forgot to send the v5c. Happens a lot with track cars and head gasket failures. The dvla won't prompt you unless it's been written off, exported or stolen. You don't need the...
You've pretty much answered you're own question. Get on your knees and pray to the French electrical god that it's just a broken connection and nothing hidden behind numerous bolts. Worst case you need to fit a need throttle pedal(which might work out cheaper)
Not 100% sure on that. My second hand xenons always came with the beams levelled and stuck at a legally acceptable position. But I no longer have xenons to check physically for levelling devices.
Get membership and go with Adrian flux. They're good with modded cars too. £3k sounds a bit much. Look around and you will get lower quotes. If you've just passed your test, you should be looking at £1600-£1900 pa.
In reference to the modding, the car looks in good nick. With a 1.2 I'd keep it...
yes plug and play basically. The xenon thing is basically to keep dirt from disrupting the light output. Xenon lights are basically millions of camera flashes each second(very bright as you can imagine), so if bird s**t is reflecting light back into the lamp it's very possible that light will...
Just googled it and you're right. Wording error between the vosa guidlines and the Northern Ireland dva guidlines. Looks like I have to have words with my last mot tester
If it's a 172 phase 2, you might as well go one up to a 182. But the phase 1 172s still look good. What I'm trying to say is the phase 2 standard lights are boring. Xenons or angel eyes are better.plus the 182 is just as light and with a bit more power.
If only go for a 200 if I got a good...
Yeah, last time I got adapters made the company asked me if I wanted to change the centre bore. Bog standard PCD adapters usually add 20mm to your tracking to cover the wheel bolts so two birds one stone
I like them. Never been a fan of matte black but it works. When you say "enlarging", do you mean the bore on the wheel? If so, it might be cheaper to get adapters as they will probably take care of the spacing issue.
First of all, which air bag? Are you switching to different oem seats from a mk2? Or aftermarket/bucket seats?
Can't really help if this isn't cleared up.
Bought a 1.6 a week ago and have been using it as a daily. Best decision I've made in a long time. Apart from the fact I made an absolute killing(price wise) on a 30k/FSH black 3 door. It runs steady at 39mpg and drives like it's come straight from the factory.
Best part is there's still 1.6s...
Nah coil overs can be very different. Learnt that the hard way myself. Cant help much without seeing the bolts but I'm guessing it's something to do with the camber bolt
