Your caliper Pistons need replacing/ refurbing. Something between the piston and the caliper is causing it to deploy. Basically get the piston out (make sure you have a replacement piston and seal just in case). Use copper grease on the back of the piston and make sure there is a light covering...
My 1.2 has developed a ticking coming from the rear of the car that increases with the speed of the car.
The drum brakes have just had a service, I have 20mm h&r spacers fitted and there's nothing visible that's out of place.
This makes me think it's the bearing. Anyone got advice before I...
You need to prime the s**t out of the interior. All of it is designed to deflect dirt and grease etc. I did my door cards twice. The first time I just used high build primer. That flaked off so the second time, I sanded the whole thing down to a flat matte texture and built it back up smooth...
may be a colossal r****d here so please forgive.
I need to do some welding on the inside of my car. Trouble is I need to take the welding unit in the car with me. So the welding unit and myself will be stood on the metal that I'm welding.
Basically do I need to do anything extra to ground...
Not too familliar with the mk3 headlights but the mk2s had all sorts of clips and bits that could fall off. Make sure you have all of them and check if they're damaged. My mk2s have adjustable levels. If it's the same with mk3s you may need to attach the lights, raise them, disconnect the...
Never. Doesn't work with the lift reverse unless you mod it. Plus it feels as if you're driving a van. Short shifters only work in clios if you raise the entire gear setup.
The spoiler can be wrapped in one piece but it truly is a b**ch to get it to a show standard quality. The spoilers washer is your main obstacle(if you choose to keep it). I decided to get rid after my second
Yeah, was a bit of a newbie when I did this and everyone told me I pushed the car too much and hit the brakes too hard. after that I've always just bought cheap pads in bulk.
Rubber seats are essentials but lowering springs significantly degrade the ride quality if you don't swap the shocks for lower ones. i wouldn't run lower springs without lower shocks on the tears as they aren't bolted in place like the front springs.
I doubt you'd stand at all by taking it back to a "trader" who trades from home. It would be too easy to for him to pull the whole "bought as seen" trick. Or a pass it as a private sale, where you have next to no rights. If you didn't pay cash, check who you actually paid (business name or...
I'm pretty sure it's part of the top left connection. But if you're having trouble with the speedo display then it's more likely the gearbox speedo sensor and/or associated connection. (This is assuming you have a jc5089 or equivalent gearbox)
Yes, used ds2500 on an endurance circuit in Poland. Ended up switching them out for £20 pads from halfords after they all but disappeared after 35 miles. The halfords pads did the same but they weren't costing me £94 for a set of fronts
The insurance won't pay for what you haven't chosen to have insured. It's one thing to declare something and something completely different to have it insured
They chucked out the temporary colour loophole after wrapping became popular. Ask any traffic cop. And the insurance didn't seem to care about my respray.
And £600 - £200 = £400
(Where I'm from, we call that a good payout for a day's work)
Not sure. Depends if you've got longer wheel bolts or bolt to hub spacers. Also make sure the spacers are flat on the hub. Dont use an impact gun to torque up.
Informing DVLA is a legal requirement. Insurance is not too fussy about that. I got quoted £600 in southampton. Tbh if you have an extra pair of hands you can do it yourself and save £150-200. All you need is the wrap (matte or gloss are usually £12-17 per metre), a heat gun (£70) and a set of...
