Hahaha did he say "there's no money in cars these days"???
Best thing about clips are there's always someone breaking one or selling used parts within 40miles of where you are. A decent amateur could fix that in a day or two. I can name several German and jap makes that have deeper money pits
I see. May not help but the mk2 trip computer (brand new from factory, that is) needed a few moments to load and start presenting non essential data (ie the mileage and warning checks. Because of the testing environment it is entirely possible that your 2 km was lost there.
I completely believe...
As above, consider passengers. That extra 5-10mm might be the difference between taking a nice girl home and only being able to take anorexic midgets home. And having 5% of your alloy hidden under the arches just screams "dangerous r****d". As you said, each to their own.
Yup those are front arches. Not sure if they're from a sport though. From experience, I've only ever found the rear peice to the rear arches. It always made me nervous so I got some bog standard arches from a 1.2 and bolted them to the front of the whel arch. Hope that makes sense.
And fyi...
Don't buy covers. They have to be drilled to fix on and thats a true pain in the scrotum. To do it you need to remove the pedal and put it in a drill vice. And for that effort you may as well fit real sport pedals.
I think if you could get the smooth over flush with the curve of the headlights it would look good. Sport bumper on a 1.2 isn't my cuppa tea with out the wings and track spacing. But do what you want. There's always going to be someone looking down their nose at you for doing something unusual...
Can't see pics, but I'm guessing it's a phase 1. Colour matching is always good. As above, don't sport the non sport. Unless you like people laughing at you. Try getting some phase 2 door strips. They always look good on phase 1s. Dont expect the exhaust to sound amazing. 1st time I put an...
If the threads damaged you need to cut out the section of damaged thread but personally I'd replace the whole shaft. It's bad enough when the nut gets stuck on with age. It must be a nightmare when cross threaded, let alone with missing thread sections
That's pretty bad but still repairable. I don't see anything that would structurally write off the wheel but people would charge £100+ for a refurb on that wheel alone. I'm in the middle of a practice refurb and I'm saving an absolute tone. Definitely recomend it as it's such a profitable skill...
This is more a post attempt question.
Tried removing the elf sticker in my daily. (Like I do with all my clios). But the sticker came off and left an unsightly adhesive residue on the glass. Atm I have tried wd40, White spirits, rough side of a sponge and coke. Any recomendations to get the...
Haven't measured that but it should be fine. The top won't rub but be careful when turning. Front spacers larger than 25mm may cause rub depending on your camber and offset.
A lot use 1.2s and dci's as their daily's because they're so cheap to run. I'm one of them. Im sure there's tones of standard only owners here just for the tech forum
Yeah first time. The tires sidewalls are aged like an 90 year old scrotum so I figured I'd leave them to keep the rim protected. Still planning on a touch up. or sand blasting and a do over
I think major point has been missed here. I've never seen a cooksport spring snap (that wasn't on a crashes car) How old was the spring? And who fitted it?
Would it be better if he did every thing exactly the same way as everyone else? Maybe he should just get some white rattle cans and do a sheep paint job?
