Don't know if it's expensive. It's easy if you got the tools for it. (Jack, stands and sockets)
The stub axles don't space out that much (8mm I think). I think the track is very slightly wider at the front. But this barely has effect. Most people space front and rear differently because they...
Wd40 around the hinges seal and opening handle and a gentle rub down will reduce noise for 6 months as long as it's not exposed to extreme changes in temp.
Proper hub centric spacers are sound as a pound. But go for trusted brands like h&r, eibach etc. not sure if the stub axles can be put Kim non sports but they're annoying to get off in the first place. I thought it was easier to switch the whole rear beam when I did a brake conversion.
As above 20-25 mm will do for the front. The rear on a non sport lack the stub axles that sports have. 10mm will make it but 15-20mm will bring the wheels almost flush with the rear quarter.
Moral of the story get a proper security cam set up if you live in a rough area. I shelled out £189 for a proper one after the makeshift worked so well
I had my daily scratched a few times, wing mirror pushed forward/back and unknown stains smeared across the side. Didn't look intentional but it was quite clearly done by pedestrians due to the side it was on. Borrowed a friends helmet cam and wired it to an old motion sensor and added a...
Firstly, I'm doing it myself. Secondly lol.
Good thing I'm not selling then. And no I'm not going to buy another car for a paint job.
Anyone got pics of a wrapped Clio?
I'm after opinions on long term results. People have been telling me wrap is better long term but plastidip is easier.
Basically I'm feeling lazy and my paintwork is dogshite. Wouldn't mind wrapping the whole car if the result lasts a few years but really wouldn't mind plasti dipping if it...
The vents are held in by screws iirc. The centre console surround is a pain. There are plastic rivets at the top (will break, unavoidable), two clips at the bottom corner (again, need to be broken) and a strut going across the centre linking the two sides of the actual dash.
The strut is the...
My 172 ph1 rear brakes have seized in storage but I can't get the pads out because of the bolt pictured below.
Sockets won't fit over the bolt because of the pad assembly to the left. As you can see the bolt has started to round at the the top. Any suggestions? Don't really want to buy a new bolt
I get that about the rs200. But rs as a general term? Pedantic much? Nobodies going to think ford make meganes or clios. And if they do my original point stands. They're not car guys.

These guys explain everything pretty well and give a good sense of value. If you do get new, longer bolts the price is usually £1.60-£2.90 per bolt.
If you want to keep the original bolts you'll need a bolt to hub spacer system. This is basically when you are provided with small headed bolts that secure the spacer on and then you bolt the wheel onto the spacer as normal. Downside is, these systems are all 20mm or more and expensive for a...
Currently driving my 1.6 about and there's a knocking coming from the front of the car increasing frequency with the speed of the wheels. At first I thought it sounded like a loose wheel bolt but they're all tight. That's when I noticed it only knocks when the steering wheel is between neg 20...
Sadly the codes only point you to where your problem is and not what it is. Have a poke around the relays and connections around the back/right of the battery and make sure all wires are secure and not exposed at the connections.
Renault are renowned for their shoddy electrical work but 99% of...
