Must be selling after getting mugged off by a taxi :ROFLMAO:

Not necessarily a re-build for mine but the cams and lifters have been changed along with all the engine ancillaries so the engine is dry of oil. So how do I go about starting it back up for the first time? The obvious issue is oil getting around the engine quick enough. I was thinking of...
Checked the valve clearances on my Toyota 2ZZ tonight and the results below.
Intake range - 0.08-0.18mm
Results - 0.13 - 0.13 - 0.10 - 0.10
Exhaust range - 0.22-0.32mm
Results - 0.16 - 0.20 - 0.25 - 0.25
So should I re-shim the 2 out of spec exhaust valves or just leave them be?
Anyone tried them yet? Will be buying a set in the coming weeks for the MR2 for road and wets.
According to their press release they've taken onboard the criticism of wear and handling...

Just doing the normal Friday go faster bits search and started thinking about aftermarket diffs for the MR2 as I'm looking to enter the Javelin sprint series next year. Another reason is that this year at CSF19 I had a really good battle with a Javelin sprint series Clio 200 that was running a...
I'm experiencing a weird boosting issue with the Skoda. It started a few months ago with an intermittent issue when on the odd occasion I wouldn't get full boost at WOT. It went away but then came back a few months later but this time I wouldn't get full boost if going WOT over 3k RPM, under 3k...
Do they actually work or should I just use a decent synthetic oil and do a few flushes with that?
Pick my replacement engine up this week and it looks like it's been ran on non synthetic oil hence the heavy varnishing, it also has slight sludging but nothing to bad given it's on 150k miles.
Looking for a bit more stability at higher speeds for the MR2 on track especially for my local tracks Oulton and Aintree where they have high speeds corners. My plan is to fit a GT type wing like the linked one below which looks similar to the Seibon CF 3D GT wing. No need for a crazy expensive...
Just looking for a suitable engine oil to replace the overly expensive Gulf competition 15w 50 that the MR2 has run on since the 2ZZ engine swap and after a lot of reading on viscosities and grades I've decided the most suitable with performance and value in mind was a 5w 50 as its thin at cold...
Half decent reviews so far but its early days...

Might give them a go to replace the NS2R's on my road wheels, dirt cheap on eBay for 4 with 20% off code PAYDAY20.
4 x 195/50/15 can be had for just £103 delivered
Just looking through my lap timer from Blyton a few weeks ago and I've noticed I was near 2 seconds a lap quicker on the MR2's heavy OE wheels with 195/50/15 front and 225/45/16 rear running NS2R 180's versus the 20kg less unsprung weight (total) OZ Ultraleggeras with 195/50/15 front and...
So after seeing the mess of the Megane that rolled on Saturday at CSF19 I'm seriously thinking about upgrading my current order from a 4 point half cage to a 6 point Clubman for the MR2.
Half cage is £500 fitted and bolt in so could be sold on.
Clubman 6 point is £750 fitted and is a weld in...
So the issues have started already ?
Posted this on MR2OC but no hits, and I know you lot are a knowledgeable bunch.
Having real problems up shifting into 5th and down shifting into 4th with extended spirited driving.
Gears are fine when the car is cold and warming up, but after 5-10 minutes...
Like them all, the EP3 has a place in my heart having owned one for 5 years but I think if I had to choose one with cost irrelevant it'd be the JDM FD2.
Need 2 rear's for my upcoming track day Saturday as it looks like rain. So which? Only £14 between them in price £99 fitted for the Michelin and £86 fitted for the GY. My preference, good in the wet, quiet and comfortable. I'm leaning toward the GY.
So in the coming months I'll be in the hunt for a new car, had my heart set on a M135i or 235I auto. The plan was use it for the 15k miles a year commute, daily/weekend duties and then around 5 track days a year, but i'm having doubts about using it for the latter due to the cost of the car...
Anyone used this compound? Picked up a used set recently and cant find a shred of info online how they perform, the 100 is competition compound but no idea on performance. I know the 180's are a bit gash but to be expected being so hard and a road/track tyre similar to the AD08R. I ask as I wont...
Could be a bargain for someone these...

So I've somehow managed to put the tiniest of splits into the NSF CV boot when fitting a set of billys to the Octavia. I mean its a couple of mm wide and just about pierced the boot, so I've just been out and bought a puncture repair kit from Evans cycles to bang over it.
Anyone tried this...
I can get hold of a nearly new set of B8 dampers from a MK6 GTI which fit the Skoda and couple them to my Eibach pro springs making a B12 kit if i'm not mistaken? Anyone used this kit from Bilstein? Bit of reading says they are firm but with comfortable damping. My 115k OE shocks are in...
This ain't normal right? 40 laps of Croft coupled to new discs. Its the inners with the issues which i know take more heat but never had them crumble this bad.
Bedded in as per Ferodos recommdation.
Even the Carbone Lorraine pads I've used weren't this bad and they're renowned for it.
The...
Anyone ran both? Have ran the DS1's but not the DSUNO's which look beastly on the coefficient charts below. Not sure they'd be as kind on discs and last as long as the DS1's though. Currently got DS2500 but had them fade pretty easily on a recent spirited drive out. Pads would only be used on...
The new motor is struggling with these temps. Its feels like a different car at 6am in the morning compared to the afternoon drive home.
Forgot how much TC'd cars struggle in these temps.
I'd bet there's a 20-30hp differnce. The open cone filter wont help as well.
Got a strange issue with the VRS TFSI when lifting off the throttle it feels like the car is still accelerating (boosting) slightly. Not an issue in every day driving but when really pushing on into a corner its the last thing you want when lifting off the throttle.
Tried contacting Shark...
Not driven either yet, but I'm really torn between the 2 cars I've shortlisted for a £10k budget. I want a nice daily that is civilized when I'm not in the mood, but can do a bit on track without throwing a load of mods at it, in fact decent brakes and tyres only, then maybe a remap once bored...
Ok so pulling the rear swinging arms off my Celica I've managed to shear one of the three captive bolts on the off side.
You can see the old nut and part thread were I've cut it and its now rattling around in the box section.
So i could drill/cut the centre hole as this doesn't have a bolt...
Had an issue were my wheel nuts were coming loose on track after only 10 minutes, they were literally hand tight which is not good. The issue is the alloys are very wide at 8j so the bolts aren't protruding enough so i can only get 7 turns on the bolt.
So do i use something like this to drill...
