the colour charging is going to play little to no affect on black. rainforest rub was the original soft wax for all colours

6th wash, 24th June - 7 weeks since application.
Car spent the majority of the 2weeks parked just out from being under the oak tree. small film of dust had settled, washed off in the rain, settled again whilst away. Aphid droppings / tree sap fallout had built up again.
rinsed with the hose...
4th Wash - 24th June - 5 weeks since application.
The car has spent the best part of the last 2 weeks sat in a carpark somewhere near Heathrow airport and when collected had a nice film of sandy dust over its entirety, with a healthy splattering of bird mess. It was then brought home and spent...
It can be used on a wet car to aid drying as it will cause water to bead off, making it easier to dry and will add a.little gloss, but I found that if not regularly washed it will cause drying towels to start not drying quite so well. Otherwise dry normally and use just as a QD after to add gloss
it does need buffing off, and you don't need to use much. Did you use it on a warm panel or in the sunlight as it was quite warm here and likely to evaporate.
Try spraying it once or twice onto a MF cloth, wipe down the panel, then use 2nd MF or fold it onto a clean side and buff it off. just a...
DPD fail once again!
Had it sent to my wifes work address which receive many deliveries each day, including from DPD, and the driver was 'unable to locate address'. updated after 6pm and can't call customer services till tomorrow
have DPD changed there time allocation system?
I had an email to say they will email again today confirming my hourly slot, got it today and it says 8am to 6pm. I guess I shouldnt complain that it is actually next day.
Russ (MCC) used the snow foam iron x and needed the spray afterwards. But I had a small bottle of the soap gel that you apply via sponge and works quite well on well sealed cars, still prefer the spray for heavily contaminated details but for my own cars and intermediate strip backs and sealing...
iron x spray and soap gel
flexipad and DDJ sheepskin mits
CG's cherry, apple and new car smell air freshener sprays.
all ordered from CYC last night with next day delivery, so I would hope for processing today and delivery tomorrow. does that sound reasonable or expecting too much? Previously...
autofinesse oblitarate is a 500ml tar remover for £9 might be an option. not sure how you would do this manually? I use it when I detail so maybe every 4 - 6months
wash
tar remover
rinse
iron remover
rinse
clay
wash, rinse, dry
tripple
toughcoat
revive
2nd layer of toughcoat
im guessing the...
I'm very impressed with my EZ brush, is used on 2 - 3 cars a week and the handle / stem is still solid. Wish I''d bought it before all the other cr@ppy cheaper ones. How old is it?
Autoglym products will do a fine job, but you certainly won't bring out the potential of LY. And I used SRP and HD wax for some time. As said a base of tripple, topped with tough coat sealant. If you want to stick to a nice to use wax then try Vics collectors yellow wax or dodo juice orange...
Did they have my old LY bonnet on the stand again?
My LY 182 looked it's best with auto finesse tripple and passion wax. If you have a good wash technique then get an iron and tar remover, give it a going over with tripple then top with auto finesse tough coat sealant, couldn't be easier or...
It will hide light swirling as it does contain some fillers, but I guess we're talking about marks you can see in daylights and not under a torch? Nothing really is going to hide scratches or scuffs unless they are attempted to be polished out, where despite its name, SRP is not a true polish...
If you're applying by hand and the cars in fair condition then maybe skip the SRP and go straight to glaze. If you were willing to work the SRP well to try and get the benefit of its cleaning and very mild abrasive then it would be worth doing both.
SRP does have a very mild cleaning ability...
Was your only prep before amigo a pre rinse with g101?
What about a tar or iron remover, claying maybe? With any of my waxes cheap or expensive I try and strip and lay a decent base for them, All get some kind of pre wax cleanser now. IPA s an alcoholic panel wipe, have a look through...
476wax is quite solvent heavy so I believe so this in itself will affect any base of glazes and fillers. Due to this it may also affect the wax itself becoming a little contaminated as it cures. But 476 is soo durable I can't imagine it being a big problem.
I used it quite a bit on silver...
Recommending someone wet sand there car is pretty silly unless you know they are more than capable, it's not something to go at light heartedly. Far to easy to get wrong then you'll need to re paint it. No offence to the OP but it's not something you should be trying
As said its quite likely...
Polish is not colour dependant, and mopping generally leaves its own marks behind, or just hides swirls. Have a look in the detailing sub forum at the sticky'd threads.
And despite its name, super resin polish has such fine abrasives its not really a polish at all, although does leave a...
Megs QD will be fine if you have it. If after 4 washes it is still resisting contamination then simple apply another layer of toughcoat. Wait until tar doesn't wash off or general dirt is sticking before detailing again and applying tripple and toughcoat. There is generally no general time/...
If you have tough coat on the car, using tripple will remove it. Use tripple, then seal with tough coat, then after a wash use a quick detailer spray to keep it looking just waxed.
As said a spray or two of toughcoat on an applicator is sufficient for a panel. Work your way round the car...
I wouldn't use it on your windscreen for the reasons you mentioned, but will be fine on rear and side windows if you really want to use it. I'd personally just get a good glass cleaner
The rest of the car has been wearing titanium since end March - start of April and I haven't been overly impressed with its performance. I think it's been getting quite a bit of fall out parked under / near trees at my wife's place of work. Will check it out once I get home next week
