it good but i can only assume they are clearing stock so therefore it wont be long before we wont be able to...

i have noticed alot of new cars have got very nice clear flat side repeaters (i.e new Audi A4 new VW etc) i fancy having a go at fitting some but they are all resessed flush with the wing so they might look funny, alternativily im going for new vauxhall ones, cheap and easy and simple
on my 16v, there is what i assume to be and engine mount at the back of the engine right underneath, (only viewable from under the car) is this the dog bone mount?
anyway, the problem is to fit this properly the front pipe needs to be off, and some bodging t**t has not bothered and left the...
i dont know if anyone remebers but i said it could be possible to change the oil by taking the grill out and sliding your hand through the gap between bumper and bonnet, well after 6k since the last service it worked a treat, full oil change took me 20 mins (like it should do!)
and i have got...

when im on the motorway im sure i can feel air entering the car through the door mounted speakers, this must be doing the speakers (which i have upgraded to Alpine 13cm 2 ways) i have had soem problems with them after installing, and when i did install them i sealed them flat to the door with...
my 16v has a good clean interior, but the colour is fading from the original black a little bit, is there any way of restoring it? the main problem is its a phase 1 and the colour will run into the blue and red check if i use a treatmeant on it, but then iot the all black bolsters that are...
i see after market exhausts as a bit od a cop out in some way bacause at the junction of each box/font pipe its the sma ebore internaly as the OE exhaust,
therefore im thinking if a larger bore system to match the ported exhaust manifold (see other post - Internal mods) so that the large bore...
im considering some moderate internal Mods to my F7P lump, consisting of ported inlet and exhaust manifolds, ported head, and fast road cams, im pretty skint so i cant afford the luxary of just send the whole car away to get it all done, so i want to idealy source the parts individualy or strip...
in line with Capt.s post, i have often wondered why some systems use incoperate exhaust gasses some how?
or am i being silly?
surley spent exhaust gases are the worst thing for the combustion process?

my 16v went straight through the MOT last week but this morning it has developed a knocking noise, it seems to knock a little bit when stopping or gently blipping the throttle, its almost sounds as if the is somthing loose swinging around as it sometimes knocks twice, i had a quick look under...

i have got some extended wheels studs that i used the have on my old Mk3 fiesta, they are needed to fit alloys wheels properly as they standard studs are to short to get enough turns to hold the wheel on safely, (at least that was the case on the wheels i had)
what i want to know is the...

I fitted some new pads to the rear of my 16v about 6,000 miles ago and i noticed on saturday that they are already over 2/3rds worn, i didnt expect them to wear hardly at all, and they are only cheapy pads, but it seems alarmingly fast, but when the cars is jacked up the rear wheels spin freely...

i dont really want to get away from the standard look of the 16v, but i cant decide which wheels are better phase 1s or phase 2s? i have got refurbed phase 1s at the money, they arent the best looking wheels but are unique to the P1 16v so i think they are good for that reason alone, but the...
Its a right pain ringing round insurance companies finding the best quote, (i know mines due) but what might be usefull if we all post the names and numbers of good insurers so that we need not ring the rubbish ones and everyone saves time and money, the company i was with this year are very good...
Are Tarox discs and pads? any good? upon closer inspection my pads are approaching the end of thier usefullness so i may choose to bite the bullet and do the lot, as hill power seem pretty keen on them,

im very worried about my gearbox expireing, what should i be doing in terms of maintainance/servicing, im sure i saw in the haynes manual that changing the gearbox oil is one of the few five spanner difficulty rated jobs, can anyone help me because i want to at least check the condition of my...

i had a long race with a heavily modded suzuki swift GTi earlier, and i had to bottle it because i started to lose loads of brake power, this is Brake fade i assume? caused by the discs/pads getting very hot, i wouldlike to resolve this, preferably using the standard discs, anyone (Benr...
