Looks good mate, so this sounds much louder than standard? Looks interesting! So simply remove the two little pipes and relocate the longer ones to behind the headlight or anywhere that recieves good airflow!
Hi,
I have searched and read numerous threads about Ph1 air intake pipes and am a bit unsure of what to do :dapprove:
If i get a BMC CDA induction kit is there any SAMCO or HILLPOWER style pipes that i could get to fit my Ph1?
I am fairly handy with the spanners, so am not affraid of some...
Hi, I currently have a ph1 172 with an ITG panel filter but am after a bit of induction noise without having an open filter :)
I am not expecting any power gains but just wanted to know if the BMC sounds much better than a standard airbox with ITG filter.
I know the Maxogen is the daddy...
No there is only one spec mate, the door will only be on the drivers side in the UK due to the cost of having to produce two different bodys for different countries. This is because of the fuel tank location and other issues.
Trust me there is no saftey issue, if there is enough room to open...
Its not supposed to be a disguise, its because they are not released yet, all manufacturers cover thier badges until release day!
A car disguise involved lots or fake curves and completely covering the car except the lights and windows and cooling fans! You would not have thought it was a mini...
There are allways cars registered before their official release dates due to prototypes and pre-series proudction test vehicles.
I have been driving these for nearly a year and there are many on the roads now.

I have recently spent quite a bit of time and money on my car getting a cup spoiler and my engine bay painted so thought I would get some opinions of my mods so far :)
So far:
Yellow callipers
Pearl black wheels
Sportlines
Colour coded side strips, door handles, boot button, fog light surrounds...
Might be a odd question but will you be selling cliosport.net stickers tomorrow on the stand?
I fitted my cup spoiler yesterday and had to remove the old sticker as it was under the spoiler and want a new one for tomorrow.
I did mine last week :)
I found the "2.0 16v" sticker on ebay for a couple of quid, sanded it all down, painted, then stuck the sticker on and laquered over them.
Came out really well
Cheers, will give the bonnet switch a clean and turn the sensors off and give it a go.
Could allways have been me opening it too fast as it did seem to go off for approximately a minute and could not get it to stop no matter what i did.
Thanks
Hi, Collected my car from being valeted yesterday and now he alarm is playing up :dapprove:
When i collected it all was fine, then after a few short trips the alarm starts going of everytime i unlock the car and get in, then wont stop for ages no matter what i do.
I am guessing that this will...
I took my side badges off the 172 last night, easiest to remove the whole front side strip and just squeze the clips together, only the drivers side has a screw then slides off towards the middle of the car, the other side just slides off.
Couldnt get the front badge off so painted it whilst...
Hi, just been given some Audio System components and wanna fit them into the 172, however I have never fitted crossovers before and am unsure which wire goes into each connector.
There are 6 conectors: E+, E-, MB+, MB-, HT+, HT-
I am not using an amp and coming straight from a Sony headunit...
I am after getting a K-tec carbon splitter but am unsure of the modifications needed to make it fit a ph1 172, does anyone have any tips?
Am i right in thinking its as simple as cutting a few inches off each end and using self tappers?
Also any pics of them fitted etc would be great :)
Thanks...
