I really like that little Citroen.
No, it won't be as quick as a 172 but it will be cheaper to run, good fun and you'll love it.
How much are they in England?
They're only 8,000 pounds brand new over here, so cheap that I nearly bought one.
Try them both and Good luck.
I'm after the original equipment Michelins for my MK1 172. I have a brand new Michelin Pilot SX GT spare tyre and want to match it up. These tyres may have been superceded but I'm not giving up.
Can anyone help?
Someone posted a 'K' chart on here which showed that 6k were the brightest.
We all think that the bigger the number the better the bulb but it's not the case, '6K' is brightest and best.
And I'd like some please.
I disagree with the above.
Yes it's old school (funky term for old fashioned) yes it handles well, yes it's visceral, yes they go well, but they don't suit everyone and I don't blame people for not liking them. They are not very comfy, they're small, noisy, agitated and poorly built.

You've had a bad run, unlucky my man.:(
Unless you're image affected buy an MX5, nothing ever, ever, ever goes wrong.
I've spent more on my Clio in one month of ownership than I spent on three MX5's over 30,000 miles.
Bloody hell, it beats an '87 Nissan Bluebird.
Image aside I don't know if courtesy cars get much better.
It's only a Clio your getting fixed, not a Bentley.
I'd be chuffed to bits and messing around with the fancy roof all day.
Seen brand new Recaro style seats (copies) including universal runners for 80 quid a pop.
I presume that they'll fold up like a babys pram in a crash but they're bloody cheap.
Waddya reckon?
To die in style or keep the Renault Sport seats and live through the crash?

No, it would be the other way round (and by some margin), the 225 has so much grip and inspires so much confidence that it would eat a V6 alive in corners and easily match it on the straights.
It is a one dimensional bore though, very capaple but almost totally lacking charisma.
The V6...
I reckon my throttle cable is made of barbed wire.
Push.....nothing.......push harder........nothing...........bit harder..........BANG, BLOODY HELL!
My Clio (2001 172) is so quick that it still shocks me.
It was wet today for the first time in weeks, the roads were greasy and I simply couldn't get traction.
Coming out of a mini roundabout in first gear the car got massive understeer, up into second and huge wheelspin, into third and more...
My dealer overfilled my sump by about 7mm, I didn't check it for a couple of weeks but now my car seems slower than it was.
I had the catalytic converters removed thinking that the overfill may have gummed them up but it's no different.
I would drain off the excess as soon as you can.
Yes, that's it and yes, it's an aftermarket muffler. 1st owner (leased) had it done and ditched the original which is a shame as it loses the stealth look of the original.
Are they MK1 wheels?
Mine aren't like that.:S
NZ spec is just as GB but no options, everything is standard. Original...
Seller wants $20,000NZD but is negotiable and I think that $18,000NZD will take it (about 6,200 pounds at current exchange rates).
Very rare over here (New Zealand) only 10 MK1's in the country (population 4 million) and not many more MK2's. They're a little misunderstood and understated...
How much better is a MK2 172 than the MK1 172?
Other than a change in bodystyles is there much difference between the two.
I have an opportunity to buy a 2003 MK 2 with 19,000 miles, full history and mint for 6 grand.
I own a MK1 and love it, but would I be taking a sideways step (bar age...
