he can't actually sell it without the V5 can he???
dvla says it would cost him £19 for a replacement and could take up to a max of 6 weeks, if done all by post
if he rings up and there are no changes to be made would only take 10 working days it said
yea the price is good, would offer 3900 i think as cambelt is due and the door dent is noticeable
worry is the logbook and receipts
drove nicely though, mods are exhaust, lowered and air filter with his custom airfeed
gti6 0-60, more like 7.2 - 7.5
had mine for over a year now
cambelts can be a problem if you dont change all the right parts, short change time aswell, every 40k miles is advised
lift off oversteer, had never had a problem with mine until last weekend, when damn did I get it...
Re: sh*t day? me too.....
hmmmm there is no way i'd have let them just go
it would have been a case of
ring the police and refuse to let him leave
smack him and check if he had any money on him, probably did
take his bike off him and say its for compensation
hmmm not going with them
I said i'd change cars during the policy, maybe to a lotus elise,
they said it would be aproblem as the broker they have selected to insure me so far wouldn't touch me on that car, so i wouldn't be able to change
have quoted me the best so far
however, i remember reading before that they send you loads of paperwork to fill in and want receipts for your mods etc? which i dont have
It's either them or I stick with elephant, + i'll be changing cars at some point during the year and with elephant...
friend needs to know what type of pads for his 1995 mk1 1.8 8v rsi
I'm thinking its girling but the place he went said it could be one of four different ones
anyone know for sure or does he need to look at the caliper etc
its the front brakes he's changing
give him the option of going through the cash route
but dont give him long, u need to tell your insurance company quite quick if your using them so get that cash quick if he wants to do it that way
someone paid me off in cash for £1300 before when they hit me
don't go too mad, he hasn't had a negative for over 12 months
if you do want the player i'd advise sending a cheque though unless he can prove all his address details match on both etc
well it's been written off
valued at £3100 or something like that, she paid £3400 not long ago, a month or two
they knocked some money off for dents and then £100 excess, then said it was a mechanical fault and knocked £220 off because they said the alternator was at fault
I'm currently looking into getting an Elise 111s, a bit quicker than the standard s1
moving from a 306 gti6, still unsure though as the 306 is a great car
seloc is a good elise forum, quite busy and plenty of info on there
as for the K series, it seems they are prone to...
I take it you've tried adding on an older female or 2, as 2nd drivers to bring it down
admiral and elephant, works a treat with them, might get you £100 off, I have 2 older females i work with on mine
ok friends car caught fire
1999 pug 206 1.4
damage to alternator and bonnet and wiring loom
Insurance rang her and said its going to cost over £3000 to fix so its a total loss, we will get back to you with an offer for the car
2 days later they ring again and now say they are going...
quoted £1400 as the wiring loom has been damaged, so its going through insurance
her insurance said they will pay for all repairs but not for the alternator or the labour on that as its wear and tear
apparently a wire came loose from the alternator and touched something and it all...
ok not a clio but another french engine area fire
work mates V reg 206 caught fire at lunch
not seen it for myself, sounds like it's gone up around the alternator area, possibly something has caught something it shouldn't or rubbed somewhere and then the alternator has gone up
only on...
all this egp srp p12 ag etc etc, is all a bit confusing at first
I like the NXT so next time the car gets done
wash with goldclass shampoo
wipe and dry
going to clay the windows as i didn't the other day
then NXT wax
then another coat of NXT probably
then EGP to hopefully finish...
ahh ok, i'll stick to the autoglym stuff then
think it is called wonder wheels, assoon as it went on his alloys i thought bloody hell this is strong stuff
can't remember it's actual name
A friend paid £7-8 for a bottle of this the other day,
his standard fiesta alloys were shocking, completely black with brake dust and it wouldn't come off
we used a small amount and brushed it onto the alloys, immediately it started to work
was very...
yea it dried oddly on mine, was all fine to start with and looked good, then hasn't dried all too well, only got it as it was buy 3 autoglym products and get £3 off, and this was the cheapest thing left to get
didn't really use much, it seemed to work well on the dash though so maybe i'll...
first experience of claying was pretty good, no problems, didn't need to use the whole bottle of detailer, partly because the car was partly still wet in places so the water did some of the job
the roof and bonnet were the worst, followed by the boot. The roof was pretty shocking though...
might take some pics, however i'm near the beach and the roads are a nightmare this time of year when the weathers nice, visitors all park in my good photo spots :-(
well spent £30
Clay & Detailer
AG SRP
AG EGP
AG leather care
clayed, seemed to go ok, roof was shocking
then srp and egp, then having to wait till morning now to nxt wax
