Magnatec is a decent oil and as long as the grade sounds (which it pretty much is) it is good enough for a valver engine, I use it and find it fine, although I remember a lot of people saying the tappets are loud for longer on cold starts than with some other oils, although I myself havent...
Yeah clutch aint disengauging fully, get it adjusted, i.e play with self adjuster (do a search of forum, as somebody posted on how to make it adjust), wont crunch on forward gears as they all have syncromesh, whereas reverse does not
Ill save you the search, yes they are the same although actual gear ratios are different, also Reno 19 diesel boxes are the same, again with different gearing, that help?
Felt I must defend MG Maestros and Metros along with later metros Gtis, anybody slating them cant have driven a decent one, MG Maestros in non turbo were well sorted and fairly quick in a torquey big 8valve way, turbos were madness and very rare (only five hundred odd made, but since they rot...
Cheers for that, got in touch with them £11.75 each including postage, fairly reasonable, so once insurance say I can defo. have my car back, will go for that, supposed to make a world of difference to most cars, especially mine with 87k on it. Anybody had it done, what like?
Can anybody suggest a place that will ultrasonically clean my injectors and return them by post with printed flow results, car is off the road the now and thought i would take advantage of this fact but there is nowhere near me who can do this, anybody?, thanks
Car losing water, but pulling as normal, with no white cloud from exhaust. Look in engine bay and none appears to be going into the oil so investigated further. Found coolant that appears to be weeping out between block and head right below distributer, just behind a pipe that runs past there...
They originally offered me £2300, with salvage being 12% of that, guy was trying to convince me that I would be better off doing that as above this salvage was going to be 18%. But he wasnt expecting me to sit and work it out myself, £2800 and buying it back at 18% (salvage buy back rises from...
Not sure if anybody recalls

But am finally getting this sorted, thought I would ask advise of you all about...
Na its class C, to take it off the register the guy at insurance says all I have to do is present them with an MOT for car. Amazing what they write off, have a scan at links for pictures above, and see, no mechanical damage whatsoever, what you think of price they are offering me.
Female one is where rod end goes over track arm, and male is vise versa, i.e rod end slides inside arm, suspect you will have female ones on a 95 N, but check anyway
Well after all that, insurance company wish to write my car off as a class C. Probably go for it as I will be able to buy it back. However want some advice on what they are offering me for it. They are offering about £2400 for my M-Plate valver which is clean but not quite mint, but in very...

Is it a standard willy/16vbox u have in your turbo clio, is the box up to all that go, given most struggle a 100k on standard power anyway. Made me think about that six speed uprated box K-Tec have from thier own 5 Turbo, but seems it fits a Mk1 16v/Willy...
This is two problems, which have already been pointed out, hot start problems (a renault favourite) and you also have a dodgy starter. However check the connections before instantly condeming starter, it might only be corroded terminals, but sods law says starter will be finished. I got lucky...
Or see rally design and get uprated ones for £12 or something like that, stronger than renault ones and stiffer, pretty much the same price

I had to put a gas torch on my bleed nipples last time to free them, same as brake unions, always a pain in arse to free. Your caliper will start sticking again, they always do
Yeah everybodys been saying that to me, wire fence and fairly flat grass is what I hit, but another 20 yards up the road there is a drop into a river of about 50 foot. The pain in the arse is all the marks you cant see in photos (i have a sh*t digital camera), fence scratched all over the place...
Nice one got suss of uploading pictures, never played with it before, you can see how jammy I was, not much damage for going off a B-Road at 70 arse first. Just not sure whether to chase insurance, need to check my excess

Here is Pics, if they work, ones off the field I went into did not come out, but will get some more, as the furrows my wheels left are hilarious, you could plant potatoes in them, no need for a tractor...
Should have been wiser, really wet roads and I lifted off a little and never got it back (Bald back tyres, brand new rainsports on front, probably did not help), ended up through a fence and in the middle of a field. Was lucky missed all the really solid things and have got away with minor...
Nope it is a clear front indicator thats goes on 16v and other clios (all same). Went through a fence last week and have just got left and right front ones delivered the day from Andyspares £8 each so above is correct, quite cheap!
I had swivel hubs off to fit new bearings, much quiter with no play, quite happy, but should I get tracking done now since had front suspension in bits as it feels a bit dead round the straight ahead position, or have I just answered the question myself
I had this intermittant starter problem, went to take starter out and noticed wee spade connector looked bit corroded as well as respective connection on starter itself, cleaned them up with emery paper, its being fine since. Thing was it sound dead like what yours is doing! just a suggestion...
I have touched mine up twice myself, keeps coming back, its not bad but really annoying, all you can really do yourself is stop it getting much worse, but it seems once the arches start you can never get rid of it totally without sticking in some new metal, annoying!
I took my cat off, and put a K-Tec de-cat on with full K-Tec system, also have a piperX and engine appears to be running fine. Put it in to test emmissions and resultant CO was 0.8% which is a fail but not to dirty really without cat, although am going to have to face the task of refitting cat...
Reno 19 diesel box is a cheap and easy fix to screwed Clio 16v box, but I do wonder how unsuitable the gearing might be, anybody driven one with such a box
