Just read this tread, I could smell a timewaster. Why all the put too much money into it rubbish? He was essentially getting cashback with the payout and cheap buyback/repair. I'm sure people threaten with breaking to try and drive the price up.
Hard to explain but it all makes sense now because it had a horrible feel through the pedal as well. I suppose it was a grind but it is well worth checking if you get it as is a free and easy fix just to post the reservoir back onto its seal/gasket
Quite simply the brake fluid reservoir touching the engine block when pulling off. I've had this for near two years and always thought it was a dodgy release bearing until I made it worse doing a brake overhaul causing the reservoir to touch constantly. Such a simple fix just wish i had noticed...
Just throwing it out there but I once refitted my valver cat upside down and it caused the manifold to touch the bulkhead under load, horrific noise. I bet yours is doing similar
Yeah that's the one I got from screwfix, I find the 0 on the handle doesn't line up with the marks on the increments. To be fair for £20 I'm probably expecting a bit much. Still better than total guessing
Dragging this up again since I tried an easybleed but don't seem to be getting any air out. With ignition off I get a good solid pedal not so good with it on and a slight grumble noise right at the top of the pedal travel, (I'm presuming this to be air?) after that though the braking seems to...
im having a nightmare, had my car on axle stands to replace my brakesbut now having done them im getting vibration through the pedals? What could possibly cause this? Also my brake reservoir is on such an angle its touching the engine, how is it held in place?
