Re: Project 172 Trophy Red Megane 225 Powered Heavy Track Car
Nom nom, keep the side strips textured black mate, will suit your choice of wheels IMO :)
Re: Project 172 Trophy Red Megane 225 Powered Heavy Track Car
Nice work mate, looking forward to getting this paint corrected, hopefully I will have my trophy with me for comparison :)
Cup spoiler + Ph2 rear bumper = Epic :D
Because the exhaust I'm getting is to fit a standard cat, so whatever outlet is on the standard cat I need to get a de-cat with the same diameter etc ;)
A friend is thinking of getting his 197 mapped and is looking at getting the exhaust breathing a bit better.
Can you fit a de-cat to the 197 and will it make any difference after mapping?
Olley's car looks ok on the RB, but nowhere near as good as Ryan's car on the red o.z's. Doing them red would just be a right sheep thing to do, especially when Gp's are as rare as they are.
I ran rota torque's on mine and loved them, have you thought about Rota Slipstreams? If you got Grid's...
No mate, what he means is because the 15s were so small it made the arch gap look huge, if you're getting coilovers get 15/16's and get them wound down into the floor :) good times
Sounds good, I'd have the 550s, Newman and 1320 mynes map
I ran eibachs on mine and they seemed good, if you get coils you need adjustable rear arms and a full allignmemt
Saw you at morrisons in Darlington, car looks awesome
From what I could see it has:
Coilovers ...epic lows + camber
K-tec buckets
Smooth recess on front bumper
Single wiper
Custom exhaust...hanging low :-/
Fluorescent orange pro race 1.2s lol
He'd need :
bigger injectors
17% pulley
Improved head (Stage 3 Thumpner)
1320 Cam
Janspeed manifold with standard cat mod ;)
Mapped
With the above he should stay with an evo with around 300-320bhp, if the evo had anymore it would be bye bye lol
Nick did the inlets on my megane 4 years back, seemed a sound guy although I didnt appreciate nearly writing off the underside of my car on the speedbumps towards his shed lol
I'm going to get a pair of RS2's for mine shortly, my pe2's are still good on the rear but fancy exploring the grip levels of the hankooks plus some negative camber :D
Love it dave, I had an idea of putting those wheels on mine but decided against it because of the menacing arch gap you're packing ;)
Hows the suspension set up? You've got exactly the same as my trophy apart from mine has no engine....yet :D
Give it a clean mate and gloss the tyres a bit...
My trophy will hopefully be running by then, the excitement is building up but at the same time I'm building myself up for disappointment as nothing ever goes smoothly when it comes to renaults
lol at the hutchie comments, I've got to say he's done a good job so far, can't fault his workmanship......well lets see if it starts first but I've got every faith in him.....
So a few pics of the 'goodies' my newly acquired f4r was about to meet.
Valeo clutch kit waiting for install on...
A little update, painted the engine a bit today, its not perfect but better than the rusty/oxydised look
I also took the throttle body off to give it a quick clean as it was gunked up off the ITG
I've also bought a ph1 airbox, it has my old ITG panel filtler in from my ph1 172...
Just wondering how to clean an ITG panel filter, is it just soapy water? Do I need to brush it out etc?
I've got some of the ITG filter sealent on its way so need to get it cleaned before hand
