If buying online to your budget, autoglym HD rules, 2x layers on my clio has lasted a few days short of 6months, it only failed due to a spot of tar not washing off at the weekend, normal road grime is still washing off fairly well. I've just used it over SRP on my sisters cars and looks and...
Both contain fillers, not used it but I'd imaging white diamond to contain more. A glaze shouldn't remove anything laid under it, although SRP may do this as it contains a tiny amount of abrasives.
I found if SRP is worked well it can act as a bit of a cleanser also
respraying a car is no big deal, and although a little odd, nothing really wrong with doing it to a Trophy.
Respraying a car in a colour it already comes in is a little bit pointless to put it politely. why not just buy a blue car as it's easier to replace parts than respray (forgetting costs...
on textured plastics, rub it down as smooth as possible. 1st coat use a plastic primer, then additional layers use a filler / high build primer to further help leave a smooth fiish for applying colour
thats quite an impressive finish! reflections are awesome
I would say though that reading recent threads on DW, red mist with its solvents will partially degrade / remove wax underneath it unless the wax has had long term curring time. I've never used RM myself but might be worth looking into
SRP is a completely different animal when applied by machine. Used with my DA with Hexlogic polishing pads at speed 1 to spread, worked around with 2 then 4 with a slow pass, back down to 2 and finish.
Pads were turning grey by the end of the day, I presume with the dirt it managed to lift...
Re: What have you ordered?
Gally, where did you get the panel pot from for £10
just ordered a selection of Hexlogic spot pads direct from CG. 15% discount and postage refunded is onto a winner
I'm only using it as I have it and don't want to throw it away. plus had heard it gives the mildest of cut when used with machine with reasonable reviews.
I've not really used glazes or filling products so wanted to get my head round them. As I say SRP now then EZ creme all by machine to get a...
Cheers for the input guys.
I'll have about 4 hours to do it but it's in a bit of a state to put it politely. I'm doing more for experience and my own trial and error rather than it requested by someone and having to please them with the results. I'll post up some 50/50's if I get a chance to...
Yeah not expecting any correction from it but would like to see if I can bring the gloss back as it's failry dull. TBH I'd be happy with good filling as it's fairly neglected and would need days for full correction that I can't do.
I've got black / white / green / orange / yellow hex pads to...
I know a lot of you will say don't bother and use a correcting polish, but I have it spare, want to use it up and not likely to have time for mutli stage correction.
I'm aiming to do a enhancement job on my sisters clio purely for practice reasons but only have it for a morning. I've seen...
I've not used any of the CG polishes, but am trying the menzerna 3.02 / 203 / 85re (final finish) with the hexlogic pads with DA. the 85re final finish might be a bit light for correction dependant on the severity but should make an improvement. try starting with the green heavy polish pad and...
TBH I think the HD wax is highly underated, I'm almost close to saying think I prefer it to my supernatural hybrid although can sometimes be a little harder to use if applied to much or in warm weather, but not that it is actually difficult to use if that makes sense..
Don't need a trailer licence if the max weight of the trailer and car combined weight less then 3.5t. therefore not needed unless you're towing a horsebox / car trailer etc
no way in the world you can compare C2 to m135, I've not used it but a friend often does. And in relation to cost, 1x neat application every 6months and the odd 5 or 10% dilute means it last just as long. JS 182, If you wanted it as just a 5% QD then 2l for approx £15 is the same as any other...
remove the rear bench, although not always necessary, lay your back seats down. 2x DH bikes with a dust sheet between them, 4x wheels in wheel bags, full camping kit and riding gear and change of clothes for 3 day trip to Wales. No need for speed and fuel sucking roof or boot bars. You can even...
probably more of a case of unproven. but TBH induction kits of any sort make no more power than standard really, just with added noise which can be desired.
Re: What have you ordered?
lol out how easy it is to become a clean freak.
I'm in the process of rebuilding my mountain bike after a full service and already considering what to use to protect it from the elements. I'm in undecided between the self cleaning of C2, and the hard wearing and...
lol, somethings are just wrong and should be banned. bit like scampy nik naks.
on a serious note, if after cleaning the area you can still smell it, have a look out for dog deodorisers, come in handy wipe and spray form. work exceptionally well to remove all sorts of smells. can be found in...
then assuming it's the Espace V6 box then remove the acoustic valve and original cold air feed you'll be fine as they're not needed.
There are several guides for removing them so best to search and all the info can be found
To change the clutch you'll have to remove the box anyway, and if it is the box I'd replace the clutch anyway at £150ish. then no fears of having to do it in the near future.
Regarding which it may be, if it were the clutch surely that wouldn't cause it to kick out of gear?
Espace V6 box is the one in the pictures in the following link
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?331529-Cold-air-feed-from-fog
The clio 172 Ph1 airbox is almost identical but it has 2x smaller airfeeds instead of the 1 larger feed on the side.
I beleive this is the Clio V6 box as...
