just remember to take the ecu off if you book it in at a dealer for running problems.they may try to reprogramme it although the reprogramming wouldnt work there is the possibility that it would f**k up the ecu.

is the battery charging ok,the windows could be causing enough drain to eluminate the battery light due to not enough charge in the battery.check the a pillar connector and your switch connections.
strip down the front brakes,replace the pads if nes and grease all caliper/pad slides etc...
xenon bulbs have a 10 year warranty so you should get a bulb for free even if you have to fit it yourself.9/10 its a faulty starter pack and normally the drivers side for some reason.
when they would come to update it the clip(diagnostic comp) would reject it due to it being incorrect software.it wouldnt recognise the group n software.you can still access fault finding though.
ok me being a bit tired getting the wrong end of the stick-sorry,i know you hate your dealer but reprogramming does sort out the majority of running problems on the 1.2.give it a try it wont cost you anything because warranty will cover it.
doubt the induction filters gained you anything in fact youve probably lost a bit.the filter sits on top of the throttle housing and sucks in all the hot air from under the bonnet.have you tried giving it a good clean and routing some cold air feed pipes to the filter from the front of the car.
petrol reprogramming perhaps? visit your dealer to see if your ecu software can be reprogrammed.there is loads of renault tech notes where the repair is to reprogramme petrol injection.
defo change cambelt inc tensioners/idlers.change aux belt and while your there just check the water pump because there a b**ch to change with the engine in.
i dont think there that bad after all i work on them and i still bought one.the only thing that lets them down is the poor quality interior(lots of annoying rattles/squeks) but its like any car they have good and bad points.
