nice 1 mike - tryin to decide between seats or a steering wheel - i know they are a lot different in price but I can only afford to do one of them at the mo - think it will be the steering wheel.
did you get your resistor from maplin?
what do you think of these seats...
if i disconnect the battery then after an hour or so disconnect the steering wheel airbag and fit a resistor will the SERV light still come on when the battery is reconnected as there has been a break in the system?
my rear discs go rusty as fuk after washing - i can leave the car for a few days then before driving and any rust is gone from my discs within a couple of miles - i would say you have a problem mate. although mine is a full fat 172 not a cup but wwould have thought they would be the same set up
If I remove the front seats of my 172 is the airbag warning light going to stay on constantly - is there a way around this if so?
also how do you remove the seat without the airbag exploding - do you simply detach the plugs underneath the seats?
k-tec now are selling stiffer versions of these bushes - had mine fiyyed - would say the same as omar - bit of vibration at idle but gear knob now stays pretty still when lifting off. Not sure if it has solved the knocking sound when wheel spinning yet.
i just bought an alpine set up - its great for playing MP3 but if you have bought an ipod video like me then its crap - you cannot get the sound from any films through the stereo - its cost me about £150 including fitting to get it all sorted when all i needed was a AI Net to Head phone jack for...
i used a tom tom go in mine and had a nightmare - over entire journey of about 400 miles had signal about 20% of the time. In my sisters mini it works perfectly all the time so the windscreen definately makes a difference
Took my car in to renault today - bad whinning noise coming from the alternator - anyway renault agreed and rung me to advise they where going to swap the alternator for a new one.
They then rang me back to say they had stripped my car down and did not have a new one in stock! new one arriving...
Andy think I will wait and get the brembo fast road discs and pads that you and yozza recommended - hell of a lot cheaper and probably good enough for what I need.
fair enough stu - i have not heard of that make before - if they are that good then fair enough - just would have expected more for the money.
I take it these are better quality than Hi-Spec then?
where did you just get the bells from?
