Re: Block the small hole of return of oil in the decanter of oil : Good, Bad, Dangero
KumKum - You're getting confused reading replies. Straight forward answer - you can block hole 1 with no issues at all.
Oh almost forgot - I re-wired the electric window switches into some universal switches on the dashboard too
I've written up some bits for a guide if anyone needs one :)
Well yet again K-Tec have delivered. They said they could get me some Oreca door cards in 2 weeks (in time for FCS) and yesterday they arrived!
Massive thanks to Martin and Sean at K-Tec for sorting me out
It took me all afternoon to get them fitted, you have to open the holes up for the...
He seems ok but he's quoted you £1000 which you think "is a bit steep" lol - that's cheap to be honest for an e-commerce site design
You'll have to pay extra for product photography on top. Proper product photography is an art in itself
Speedline Comp 2's!!! One of my favourite wheels ever. Girlfriend had them on her 106 GTi and I kept trying to steal them lol
As for the subaru wheels - like you say they look like a fancy version of the standard wheeel
£750 isn't much of a budget for a full site design AND product photography - £1500-2500 is a bit more realistic
You're best bet might be to find an off-the-shelf skin/theme you like and modify it to suit - and use a pre-built e-commerce solution like Magento
But even then you'd need a...
Yes 15 years as a web app developer - combined 20million visits a month to my sites - I know f**k all
Sorry but the days of spending £20 for a "shared" hosting and being stuck on a badly maintained out of date server with 400 other people are IMHO over
Cloud hosting is so much more flexible...
123-reg are SUPERB for domain names
If you use any of those cheap budget hosting companies for a website you're an idiot anyway to be blunt
Just get some cloud hosting - pay for what you use - job done
Holy moly. You're lucky there
Must have been the lock on the door seize up - but it'd have to draw some serious power to melt the cabling right back to the fuse box. Ouch!
Glad you got it running though!
They need programming as far as I know :(
Won't be the fuel cut-off they are impact triggered, and as you say the starter isn't even kicking in
The last time I had that random buzzing and doing nothing was when I'd accidentally not attached one of the UCH earths after having my dash out
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
The gearstick on the Clios really is designed for short girls lol
Mines a stretch to get into all the gears and I'm still about 2-3" too far forward for my liking - but if I move the seat back I can't reach...
I chopped the big bit off that sticks up (the big oval piece as Dan says is the old breather for the fuel tank) then stuck a metal plate over the whole thing using silicon sealer. Stops it breathing through the pin hole and looks neat enough :)
I can get pics if you need them
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
If you're at FCS come say hi mate - I'm on track all morning (9am - 12am)
I find the 15minute sessions suicide as they're full of 106/saxo/clio idiots who can't drive. But the 3hr open pit session last...
Saying none rival DSLR's is a bit wrong - a lot of them these days actually use DSLR sensors and easily equal the quality. The "old" style bridge cameras like the Canon G10/G12 that use cmos sensors do suffer a bit from quality but they are quite cheap.
I had the same issue with my DSLR kit so...

Wow you were flying on those laps mate! Nice!!
Looks like a nice little track for a clio too. Gutted I missed it :(
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Woooo glad to hear he got some track time in it without any major events!
Yeah I wear ear plugs and my helmet - but I don't like wearing them on the road because I might not hear an ambulance or whatever..
I know really it should be on a trailer but I haven't had time/money to go buying trailers and tow cars this year :(
Ermmmm if they've done that then it will start the car even without the key in!?
You're supposed to take a feed from the 2nd position on the key to the switch then to the starter
Oh dear :(
Coming from 106's to Clio's - the 106's definitely have a lot more issues with sensors. Every car I had I ended up playing the "swap all the sensors until it runs ok again" game
Up until 6 months ago I still had a huge box full of spare coil packs and sensors and ecu's for 106's in the garage lol
I didn't list every sensor - I could if you would like
And TRUST me the ones I listed are common failure points.
Not that I'd know what I'm talking about - only had 106's for 8 years and own 106owners.co.uk ;)
Oh yeah I think they're a bit busy trying to get the demo cars finished for FCS next week. I'm on their stand as they've done loads of work on my cars over the years
Might be worth swapping the coilpack if you know anyone with a 16v local - as they're a common fault. Or like others have said...
Whiteline rear ARB is a brilliant mod - makes the car handle a lot more like your 205 gti or a 106 gti. Bit of lift off oversteer - lively back end.
Reduces understeer a lot too
Eibach sportlines are a good set of springs and used by a lot of people. I took my cup round the 'ring with just a...
Yeah I know what you're saying mate - and after being in my mates Civic running a piper exhaust I'd kinda agree
But I've run out of time/money lol
Donington next sunday, my car won't pass noise tests and I don't see me selling the oreca and ordering a piper and getting it fitted in under a week...
Mini update
One of those jobs that for some reason kept slipping my mind was the brake vacuum feed
I originally fitted a rubber hose from the solid pneumatic pipe on the bodies to the back of the bay and then onto the original brake vacuum pipe that clips to the bulk head
Unfortunately I'd...
Too much work - the oreca middle section is a straight piece of 2.25" pipe - easier to just chop it and weld a silencer in
No point making another middle pipe with the bend and trying to make it join the back box
Was yours stripped out? Cos honestly this thing is deafening lol
