Re: Namakubi Clio 172 Cup "track project"
I dont have the gear to do a leakdown. Pretty sure its rings as its breathing pretty heavy back to inlet , nothing to compare to mind you but not a1 for sure. Last time I buy a car in the dark from an unknown
It was a half arsed test as I didn't...
Re: Namakubi Clio 172 Cup "track project"
Just done a comp test on my new cup and cylinder 1 is down close to yours  I hope mine doesn't start swallowing oil, did yours misfire or anything other than drinking oil?
Nice panels, looks like the ones Martijn was selling! Are they fiberglass...
Thats my thinking too. Silver would look fresher. I still haven't found a picture. 2 reasons, either it looks crap or someone never had the 16" changed to silver before.
They will be getting powder coated so hopefully they come out with speckle to them like standard.
I am only fitting Eibach...
Slacken the track rod end that you had loose before, peel back inner boot onto steering rack and unscrew the tie rod from the rack. Easy as that but in practice really fiddly because of space.
I just bought one of these to make it easier, there are various different types of tools available...
Opinions on pro race 1.2's in anthracite??? Picture below is 15" on someone's car on here I think, I'll be getting 16" and have a choice on the colour they go, I'm stuck between anthracite and silver (never seen them before in silver)
Small update.
Home now so got a start on stripping down the car today ready for all its new parts and mods. I decided to start at the front removing the subframe, rack, suspension etc. It turned out that the frame dropped was all I was going to get done at the end of play. The car put up a big...
Standard was pretty loud on both of my Cups tbh too, they both had pattern exhausts on, unsure if the o.e.m is much quieter. Clio and noise go hand in hand afaic.
Its a shame tbh, pretty much every circuit in the UK is having more stringent noise restrictions put on them or have done. I don't get people that buy homes next to known noise areas, airports, circuits, stadiums and then try and have them shut down or restricted. You should have bought...
Nothing too exciting yet, just got home last night so I'm going down to the sprayers today, its been there last 2 weeks or so. I'll hopefully have pictures of the inside painted if not then very soon.
Cheers mate, received my license now so I'm allowed to go racing whenever the chance comes...
Good news Pete apart from the engine, give it death until it drinks more oil than fuel. You have done well to not see any rain in your 2 years tbh, like you say it shows the men from the boys and the real smooth drivers come to the front. I seen pics on FB that BTCC were doing some testing and...
There only 2mm longer and will still have the same 60deg taper if they were supplied right as I'm sure they were. The heads smaller so its going to look like its 'sunken' in to the wheel.
Yeah I understand road tyres.
I did try the calculator and thought the numbers were funny, thought it was just me being a nugget.
That's it, most that you see for sale don't even have any 'tread' (for want if a better word) left on them.
Cheers, I didn't realise it was imperial dimensions they are done in.
I know mate, how they were kept, how many heat cycles, how they were heated and cooled, kerbs or no kerbs etc etc lol.
