f**king hell people..........
Mk1 clio right for starters its IR, not radio, so pressing it against your forehead will do sweat FA!
Again its a mk1 clio so parts are cheap, worst comes to worst speak to matbrown or winston and get another ir reciever and plip and bung those in, will cost you...
Pah mk1 clios are FAR better than the new shite, PAS rack as i said if it is that will set yuou back £50 from me + postage and you can fit it yourself in a morning easy if you know what you are doing, or a day if you don't
Guess so....loud noise isn't very helpful tho tbh.......just do a visual inspection of them, check nothing is broken etc...what sorta speed did you take the speed bump at?
Could be a number of things dependant on the speed you were going etc etc.
Does the car still drive and handle ok?
If you...
If you want to be sure do what i said, take them to an MOT place and get them to check alignment, there is nothing in the MOT about having the bulbs too bright, and like was said you'll struggle to get normal bulbs brighter then xneons(?) anyways
Are you going at the same speed, there will be more resistance when traveling slower then when faster.
Check the PAS fluid level, and does the pump make any noises, esp when turning either left or right?
From what you ahve described sounds like your rack might be on the way out....around...
Clean ISCV and check engine earths, in particular the gearbox one.
Odd that it only does ti sometimes, usually they do it all the time, presume the revs drop right down when the clutch is put in, and then sometimes it stalls it? If so its a very common problem
Really woudn't worry about it you ahve fitted brighter buklbs hence them being brighter, if folks falsh you just flash back......as long as it passes an MOT oyu'll be fine, if you are worried take it to an mot place and just get them to check/set the alignment
If you can get a dremel or similar in tehre and cut a slot accross teh head and use a slotted screw driver.
Hammer a smaller socket over teh head if you can.
Machine mart sell reverse glute sockets designed to grip a rounded off nut (or i this case rounded head bolt) and undo it
You can't fit a roll cage painted....ffs *rolls eyes*.....welding is a hot process, heat + paint = no paint anymore
Just either spray the whole interior of the car the same colour inc the cage, works in rally cars, or just paint it wiht a brush or spray tin with a bit of cardboard of something...
Strut top is 21mm swan neck spanner, find a small DIY store and get tehm to specially order one in, i did.
Alternative, as tehy will prolly be seized is to tajke it to a local garage and get them to loosen it with the impact wrench.
As for the dust caps i've always ever used mole grips on...
You had a prospeed de-cat lol....bet it cost more then £35 delivered lol.
Basic mods really, exhaust de-cat air filter, wrap the exhaust manifold, strip it....anything more then that and you get inot the area of cams, remaps etc
Quite good gains can be had by tidying up the welds in the fanifold
Where is the smell coming from, ie where is it strongest?
If its on teh cockpit is it just when the blowers are on, on hot or cold.
Just a burning rubber smell really isn't much to go on tbh
