You'll never get rid of the lag with a turbo, boost comes in about 2.5k which was the same before tbh. Only difference is I get 400nm from 3k instead of 300nm before.
If it was an early 225 then I wouldn't be surprised if it felt like that more of a cruiser than a hot hatch, a cupped one is a big step forward apparently. I'd say mine handles pretty much the same as my 172 but feels a lot more planted, even though down a very twisty road its in the 172s hands...
There aren't any yet unfortuantely, mines on v10 i've heard theres v11 floating about but its not a major update and doesn't seem to cover the uk models. Supposed to be one in a few weeks though, can't come soon enough either.

The megane 225 standard intercooler is much larger than that same engine, same idea and the forge one is bigger again. But I would imagine your severely limited on space in a 182 without cutting things hence why its so small.
Its nothing to do with the ammount of messages unfortunately, all sorts of apps will hang. The release firmware is shite basically, and they've disabled the naviwheel on it too.
Mine hangs like a beatch for ages then does whatever I wanted it to do 5 minutes ago in one very quick action. Getting very tempted to return it tbh until its sorted up or grab and N85 instead as this really isn't on tbh, I haven't waited 12 months+ since it was announced and payed to beta test...
Its in dire need of a firmware update, it'll be all good once its sorted but the constant haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangin of simple apps (contacts, messanging, media) is starting to really get on my tits.
The bores will still look like that after 100k but the useful edge of the honing is gone. Your an idiot/madman to put that together without getting it honed.

They did hence dropping the aux belt from 72k to 36k on the service schedule.
The 1.4 uses a JB1 box whereas the 1.6 uses a JB3 box, ratios will be different and the JB1 is a weaker box. You'd get away with it but I wouldn't use it personally, if you've killed a box already then i'd imagine this one will follow.
Oh yes its in dire need of a good firmware update. Starting to get on my tits now tbh, although the N95 wasn't brilliant from the off either. But simple things like messaging hang like fook some times for no reason.
