Rather than spending money on my desktop (needs new psu, some more ram and windows 7) I'm thinking about sacking it and getting a laptop instead. What's good at the moment? My bro's recently got an HP DV6-something-or-other which seems pretty decent, but doesn't have one of the new 'i' CPUs...

Right, I want to get a new head unit but don't really know what's good at the moment. I definately want to retain the steering wheel controls and, if possible, the dash display; plus want an aux input on the rear. That will be for an mp3 player so don't need ipod control functions etc. Also...

Hi, I've just realised my steering lock isn't working. With the ignition off I can turn the wheel lock to lock (if i wanted!) which i thought was a little strange :S I think my PAS pump may be on the way out as get an awful screach on full lock so could this be related?

I've been meaning to get my alloys refurbed and powdercoated for ages, does anyone know of somewhere that does this in Norwich? What's the going rate for powdercoating & refurbing 4 wheels (16s)? A friend found somewhere but they wanted £70+vat per wheel which I thought was a bit steep?

Spotted a ph2 172 Flamer leaving chapelfield car park at about 2:15 today, then about 2 mins down the road a ph1 silver V6 going up Grape's Hill. Don't think i've seen either before, are you on here!?

I've had this problem since I've had the car (a year!) but keep forgetting to sort it. Basically, my passenger electric window won't operate unless I open the driver's door first! So I have to start engine, open driver's door, close driver's door then can lower the window. Bit of a hassle TBH...

Hey all, I get a very loud knocking/grinding noise when accelerating hard at higher revs (4k+). Thought this was to do with my driveshafts being shagged but had them replaced (they did need doing anyway) and the noise is still there :( . Had my cambelt and aux belt changed around january time...

Driving along earlier and my ABS, traction control and SERV lights came on, pulled over and turned off the ignition just in case but when i started the car again the lights were out :S . I'm guessing this is just some electrical glitch but have i anything to worry about?
