much prefer to get stuff done myself so i can learn about the car so i'm more able to deal with something if it does go wrong....
+ dealerships charge too much and i cant justify in paying for something i can do myself...
and my car is 02 plate so no warranty anyhow :-)
hi all,
i'm fitting the koni sport shock + eibach pro setup + poly bushes and a whiteline adjustable rear anti roll bar this weekend.
i noticed in the french cars magazine issue when the guy fits this setup to his clio cup he uses rubber spring boots at the bottom of the spring.
they fit onto...
ah cheers... its just i've enquired about buying these from an alternative supplier and they said the only ones they can see are shortened and as far as i'm aware the ones ktec sell are the standard length?
i'm going to be using these with eibach proline springs
cheers
Tom
hi guys,
i'm just looking to buy a set of the koni yellow sport top adjustable shocks.
the same as the ones they sell on the k-tec website.
do you have the part number for them please?
cheers
Tom
looks really good mate, i'm going to chuck some eibach prolines on mine next month with koni dampers so should hopefully get some good results.
also a good question for you.. did you do the refurb on your alloys yourself? or where did you get it done?
lol you tease!
i think they would do the trick in the 172...
hopefully a touch more rear legroom too as they appear to be thinner than the standard 172 ones.
hi all.
i'm looking to get a set of the rew R27 clio recaro seats fitted to my 172 full fat.
do you know how much they are and the part number?
and if they are a direct fit :-)
I've googled it and the only reference to price is £800ish.
cheers
Tom
hi mate good to hear about the remap :-) i'm thinking of getting one done for my 172 ff.
just got to get the H&Rs bought + fitted first.
is the remap done on a rolling road so you get a bhp & lbs/ft after its done?
ah tidy job :-) cheers mate.
deffo looking at anthracite or satin black :-) sex on wheels!!!
re: the tyres i'm going to run the standard spec ones that are on there. no point buying a set of sexy toyos to ruin when i've got some ditchfinder specials fitted!!!
how much am i looking for the...
got any pics of your car rich???
i'm going to refurb these 172 alloys before fitting them - i'm stuck between gunmetal / anthracitey or white (my car is silver by the way)
what does it look liek with white on?
hi mate,
i've got a friend in teh trade and they are more like 40+vat per corner... these wheels will be only track day wheels anyhow.
i've got a set of mk1 172 oz wheels for them to go on which i picked up for £150.
they have nearly new s**t spec tyres so i think i'll use them until they...
lol @ you lot.
any more opinions on these coilovers...
i'm pretty set on the H&Rs so far... how do they go on road & track?
also whats the best height to run the clio 172 at, and what camber @ toe in/out??
i'll be using 15" alloys
well i've got enough to get h&rs... i'll fit myself and then get it set up somewhere...
i think i'll go for H&Rs as i can have the option of height adjustment too.
yeah i'll await your pm matt.
cheers
Tom
i'm still stuck on teh benifit of getting coilovers over a decent shock and spring setup... like the koni & eibach setup in french cars (may issue)...???
i fancy something that you can alter when you go on track like the koni top adjustables... can H&Rs or Billies do that????
whats the main difference between the billies and H&Rs?
