After 18 months of fun the Clio has been sold, sorry to see it go but not sorry to never have to go to a Renault dealer again.
I now have an Octavia vRS. Bought it up in Blackburn, and part exchanged my Clio. The guy gave me £9,350 for it, seems way to much but I wasnt complaining.
Bit early...
Kind of agree, but one garage has a car in and out for three months and cant find a problem, yet another can find it the first time. The service manager at the latter garage said it was a fairly easy problem to diagnose and that he was very annoyed with the first garage for allowing the car to...
A while ago (about three months) I posted about a violent vibration noise on my car to see if anyone had an idea about what it could be. Since then it has been into Heards Renault garage in Basingstoke a number of times with various parts being replaced but nothing changing the problem. It is so...
Ive not had a chance to look under the car in the light yet, Ill have a look at the weekend to see if I can find anything. Got it booked in on Tuesday with Renault so hopefully they will sort it then.
Thanks for the ideas guys.....:D:D
Drove over a little bump in the road the other day, and there was a slight noise from under the car (not the bottom of the car hitting the road), ever since then there has been a loud noise coming from under the car when accelerating. It sounds like the exhaust has a hole in it, it is very loud...
I have the same, everyone on here a while ago said it was dodgy wiring under the drivers seat. I keep meaning to take it to the Renault garage but havent got around to it yet. Might wait until the next service in 3.5k miles.
I have just bought 4 tyres from mytyres.net, but when I went to put them on I only really need to change the fronts at the moment as the rears have a few thousand miles left in the. I was just going to keep the other two tyres in my garage for another month or two but someone said they might dry...
_KDF, I was one washer ball short until a few days ago. The nice people at Renault (I dont say that very often) fitted a new one for free, and they cleaned the car inside and out.........
Eagle F1s were £205 for two fitted.....I was ripped off. You can get them cheaper than that I think. Much better than the contis though (in my opinion)
Keeps coming one intermittently along with the orange SERV light. Could this be caused by a loose wire somewhere. Seems to be affected by movement in the passenger seat, are there any wires there that could be loose?
Also yesterday the Stop light came on a few times when driving, almost liek...
I flash all the time, 16vs, williams, 172s, v6s. I reckon about a third respond, a third look bemused, and a third dont even notice........ Ive never been flashed first though, maybe one day!!
This has moved, no idea where to but I found it again. I thought I was losing it too.
Definately worth ringing around, I didnt bother and got ripped off.
Elliot - I went to Basingstoke aswell, they tried to charge me £215 and when I complained they told me it was because "it is a 172 Cup and the service interval is 12k or two years and two years is a long time so that is why". I said "eh?", she kept repeating "It is a 172 Cup", at which I kept...
