go on www.clio16valver.co.uk people on there will be able to help you alot more with your car.
Torsion bars are easy to do, if they're not sized... theres a guide on the 16valver forum :)
Don't do it Craig! You are ruining your car! :( Why dont you just buy a MK2 lol :)
But A/C would be cool in a mk1, only if it has the mk1 dash... with the mk2 it would be too normal
Would just be eaiser to put valver struts on... Same track width
Williams is wider so full setup would be needed, Wishbone, ARB, Driveshafts ect...
And with the widetrack you'd need the arches too if its a Pov
Yeah replace everything from the front end of a valver basically, You will have to cut a small part of your bonnet skin out to clear the engine too if you're not putting the valver bonnet on.
Should be able to pick up all the parts cheap on clio16valver also a better place to be for MK1's :)...
Get on Clio16Valver
F7P's can be picked up for peanuts! Ignore ebay they're not £500!!!!
F7R's are harder to come by and will be more expensive.
A decent F7P + JB3 box (Valver running gear too, driveshafts, hubs, brakes ect...) Won't set you back that much and you'll get 130Bhp if it's a...
Spotted a Red 182 just after 5pm today in aylesbury, near the bus station in town :)
had a Cliosport sticker in the back window :)
CLI 0HP
Who might that be?
Right then. My coilovers I think were for 54mm spacing. My 1.4 was 52mm. I simply machined at work 2mm down on the top hole. Then the camber was all wrong so machined it 1mm towards the engine (if that makes sense, top hole, so the hub sat slighty further in a the top) Problem solved.
Hopefully...
I'm pretty sure the track is the same width on the 1.4 and the 16v... I was told the williams is the only one thats wider. When I was looking into doing the engine conversion on the 1.4, the driveshafts from the 16v would be the right length/fit for my track width (same as valver, narrower than...
Ok,
So my car got written off last month and i've been deciding what to do. Was going to get it repaired but it's well past that and can't afford it :(
Really wanted to do a conversion on mine but can't now, so though i'd look for a 16v that needs a little work that I can use :)
Loved the black...
Had a phone call today, The car is a Cat C, and i'll get £575 :) I get the choice to keep the car for free or them take it away!
Obviously i'm keeping it, and it will be repaired *PROPERLY* then I can continue with my Plans!!! :D
Had an inspector out to see it, Probably going to be Written off as Cat B due to A post and Pillar damage, They'll let me keep it for parts and give me a couple hundred quid. Now i've lost a stupid amount of money on it as i'll never get it back on the road :( Now what do I do? I'll have hardly...
Damm it. Well I want try and fix it, see what can be done :/ possibly buying it back and swapping my parts over to another car :/
We'll see what the insurance says :)
Thanks for the help, and yes im fine, at the end of the day it's just metal and can be replaced. I can't :)
Hi,

Is this repairable do you think?
First thoughts:

-New Wing
-A post and Pillar straightened...
Hi guys!
I am going to be doing a 16v/Williams brake conversion on my 1.4 but would just like some questions answered before I do :)
On the way to me in the post are some 16v Callipers and Carriers, working order (Going to shotblast them at work and paint)
Are they an easy direct fit bolt on...
