Hi you would be better off posting in the technical section. The ph2 clios have an electric throttle so it could be something to do with that. If you sign up as a paid member you will get access to the parts for sale section there's lots of clios getting broken, it's saved me way more than the...
I ran my golf on reps for 3 years 50k miles ish and they have been structurally excellent. However the polished parts needed work after only a few weeks of winter (corroded under lacquer) and they are a couple of kilos heavier than genuine wheels. For the money they look the part tho. Just wax...
Would ignore Facebook as you've found out there's a fair bit of ignorance on there. This sites for enthusiasts and the occasional troll who will be interested to see what you are doing with your car.
I would not suggest a golf mk4 for auto slalom they are great every day cars but do not corner...
Where are you from? When I was studying I bought a vw golf diesel I've still got it actually 180bhp and very cheap to run.
In the UK a Clio RS can be purchased for less than the cost of a dci. You should start a project thread. I like your wheels but those tyres must be expensive for racing...
Re: Hy to all ! Prowed owner of an 1.5Dci Renault clio Saloon.
Greetings interesting car you've got. Dci saloon for racing purpose....because race car?
Those ones on eBay seem an ok deal actually for a full set of discs and pads, tho the discs aren't brembo. I don't spend much on rear brakes for clios they don't do much. People bang on about brembo HC when the truth is most of the aftermarket discs I've seen are HC for the 172. However for the...
If you look at the bottom of page 1 of this thread there's a car that looks awful similar, only cared for and cherished. Looking forward to getting it up the road.
You will need to know the impedance of the subs, probably best to take one out and flip it round. If you've only got one half of each coil wired it won't work.
As as pointed out above could also be RCAs in the wrong place at the amp end. If your amp is stable at lower impedance there could be...
Afaik if you are running 2 amps its best practice for them to share the same earth, the earth should also be under 1ft. I think this is especially important when using the same power cable to power both, ideally through a fused distribution block. Using the same earth reduces the likelihood of...
Hard to tell without seeing it, some times you need to turn the pre outs on, on the head unit. Have you got dvc subs and wired them like single coils. You sure everything works. You may have to mess around with the gain/input level. You sure you've plugged the rcas in to an output and not an aux in?
It's up to the seller to disclose whatever, however they like...buyer beware etc. No legal obligation. Harder to not disclose a cat c because it's printed on the v5 after the cars had its identity check from the dvla.
Some crash repaired cars are brilliant, others are death traps, but that...
Rear anti roll bar, harder rear springs/ dampers. Brake bias to front, Over inflate rear tyres, buy rubbish rear tyres, positive camber. If none of those appeal to you pinch a couple of trays from a fast food restaurant and park the back tyres on them apply the handbrake and drive.
Nice idea, should work in theory. I found the sound quality of the standard head unit in mine fairly tragic so binned it for a £60 head unit that's got blue tooth, USB etc and it's made a massive difference. Stock speakers are also mildly awful. You not fancy changing the lot?
The advert is full of nonsense and contradictions. Without all the nonsense waffled throughout the ad it looks an ok car. Was going to use it for racing yet its standard with a stereo install which makes up for the lack of mot and tax? Junk 17s would be mint on the track, at least its got a new...
Gally are welcome to use my garage, tools and bits and bobs. It may be a bit of a commute though. I am currently re-shelling a clio for less than £750. In fact I did it for under £500 including a bunch of other stuff. Just to add, the car wont be in my garage till it's finished and none of the...
Yeah fling a start switch in it and wire it to the ignition, its straight forward to do but you will need to use the key so the immobiliser and steering lock work. My 197 has keyless entry and start etc its awesome, but I would imagine retro fitting something like that would be difficult and...
As above, spend plenty time prepping them properly and give them a good wipe down with ipa or petrol. Even if you buy good quality spray paint for wheels you will need about 2x 400ml cans. Cheap paint might need more.
