trust me i could do 10 times a better jobs than most garages. And there is nothing unsafe about it.
I'm not a dobge it kind of person and i'm a qualified engineer anything i do would be safe.
cheers mate i just think at the minute it looks a bit of a mess and it might put a potential buyer off.
Bear in mind at the minute there is no carpet and wires everywhere waiting for the amp etc to go in.
I haven't been on here for a long time now so first off hello.
I've decided to sell my car due to moving house and a new bike on its way means i haven't got enough money.
However my question is what should i do with my boot. My car is a mark 1 clio with a maxi kit fitted, due to the...

I admit that does look ace but it would cost so much more. I tried to pick two that would cost around the same sort of money. Obviously if money was no object at all its hard to compare a 15 year old car to a brand new one. But id still prefer to restore a mk1 with that endless money...

I know your obviously going to say one modified and the other not but the mk2 will still probably cost more! In my eyes there no contest. But it depends obviosly on what...
Were not missing something upstairs its just insurance is stupid for young drivers. I paid around £2k insurance for a clio in my first year of driving and that was a group 3 or 4 car worth £700. I dont think people over 25 realise how much insrance is for new drivers these days.
As ive got a...
You need to look around a bit more mate. Surely you can lower that. Im 20 now but started this policy when 19 On a fully modifed mk1 clio with williams engine etc etc, 0 NCB, 1 accident, driving 2 yrs, and i pay just over £2000.
im looking at trying to make my own fibre glass boot build. Never really done anything like this before but theres only one way to learn.
My main question is how do you start? A friend suggested producing a rough cardboard template and then fibre glassing onto this. But i thought it would be...
Has anyone put a new surround around there gear lever. I wanted to fit a metal surround with a new gaiter, but i didnt know where i could get one from that would fit.
Also i wanted to put a new gaiter over the handbrake that would cover a split in the carpet at the base. Anyone done this...
Im well confussed now. Ive kept that one for the moment until i can decide. Bit worried something different might look OTT if that makes sense. I really want something to finish the back end off and i think the exhaust makes a huge difference.

Ive given up for today. I know if someone was to show me what i was meant to be doing itd be easy. Might give it ago tomorrow with one of my mates and do both at the same time.
Its annoying because i know its an easy job im just not getting something. hehe.
Mark
No still havent got it. Which part should actually be turning as i jack the rear arm up? the bracket in the centre? If so surely its easier to do it with both bar removed?
Thanks for all the help.
Mark
What differance does it matter jacking the hubs or the arms? surely you can put the jack under the disc or calliper on the open types and it wont make a differance. Thanks Mole.
Mark
Im pulling it out jacking the arm up then the only place the bar will go back in is where it was taken out, but if i do this then let the jack off the arm it just drops to the same height.
Thought id done the hard bit getting the bars out. hehe. Im just missing something.
Thanks...
which way would i need to turn it? I thought it might be something like that but it doesnt seem to want to go into the next spline. Bloody thing. hehe. Am i ok to do one side at a time?
Mark
Can someone please send me the guide from the member section on the hompage. I cant access it as my meemership has expired and i cant renew it till the new forum is up.
Im having trouble with my torsion bar. I take it out jack the rear arm up put it back in and when i let the jack go its...
Really dont know what to do now. The urgensy on geting it done now has gone a bit too as ive just managed to patch up th manifold so the system will last a bit longer. I think a twin system looks good but like some have said maybe simply is better.

Im going in to book a powerflow ehaust tomorrow but dont know what to have. hehe. What do you guys think to two back boxes like this, (the one on the right) one either side of the cut out in the bumper.
Other design i thought of was a box sideways on with an exit either side this would take...
Would anyone suggest doing this? Andy @ GDI has mentioned it to me before and ive just blown my manifold up so now would be the best time to decide on one.
the engine is also running a lightened bottom end and flywheel and cams.
thanks for any advice.
Mark
Looks really nice mate. How did you manage to make that front bumper? I love the lines.
