I've had 40mpg on a long stretch of average speed cameras doing 50mph just after I filled up and reset. Usually though its 32mpg which is normal commute so mix of town driving and a roads.
Do you live near Clayton West in Huddersfield? I've seen a very similar looking Clio parked at the side of the road near my house. Always tempted to knock on the owners door and offer to buy it!
Just buy this. Best value for money bar none.

I'm only making an assumption that if it is the comma based oil and this is on sale then yes it's a similar compound to the equivalent oils within its normal retail price, why leave similar compound in for 12 months when you can change it in 6 months for less? It's OK looking at graphs and test...
Personally I would rather change the oil every 6 months with the Halfords stuff at that price than the Castrol equivalent in for 12 months. I can't see there been too much of a difference between them.
Sorry Andy I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. In my earlier post I said this:
A couple of people are saying I should of PM'd Mick but the purpose of the thread was just to see whether anyone else had experienced this problem and to see what they did. I only stated the company that...
He only uses genuine parts so I assume so yeah but obviously I couldn't be 100% sure. He seems like a very trustworthy chap though so I have no reason to doubt him. Plus I've had it up on a ramp at work and everything else seems fine.
Oil has been changed twice since the work was done with fuchs titan pro s 5w 40. Oil levels are spot on and regularly topped up. I'll give Mick a call after Christmas and arrange to pop down. He's a really nice chap and to be fair it has been nearly two years since the work was done so I wont be...
Hi all,
My dephaser has started making a noise. I only noticed it yesterday after turning off the radio (fed up with all the Christmas songs) and it sounds like a bag of spanners in a washing machine today.
It had the cambelt, aux belt, dephaser and the waterpump all changed in Feb 2012 by...
Have you checked the slider pins? It's pretty common for them to go. Depending on just how seized they are you may be able to take them out of the caliper and clean them up. Have you noticed any wheels getting more dust than others?
Thanks Budgie, that's what I guessed. :)
Bodywork is OK, has some stone chips, nothing major, certainly no scratches or dents, I'm going to give it a full machine polish in the Spring.
Thinking of changing for a Clio 200 soon but want to get an idea of what mine may be worth.
• 2005 Black Gold 182, 64k
• Recently had Cambelt, dephaser and aux belt done
• ITG Maxogen (still have original), RS 192 Exhaust and Mapped
• 12 Months MOT, Tax until March
• Michelin Pilot 3 all round...
Thanks cclien!
sburrell93. Yes its fully warmed up. One thing worth pointing out is that the external temperature sensor is missing, which means it is blank on the screen too. It was like that when I bought it and I am looking to replace it when I get some free time. I'm beginning to wonder...
Has anyone else experienced this? Basically when I set my speed on the cruise control everything is fine. I can turn it off/return and increase the speed with the + sign. The only thing I can't do is reduce it. It just seems to cancel it completely? The video below shows what it does...
Hi all,
I've read the guide on how to remove the upper dash, is this the right way to get to and replace the central heater vent? I have a few slats missing and want to replace the unit with a new one and just wanted to check before I removed it. I've been told that they just pull out and can...
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has anything similar happen with their clio. Basically after a journey there's drips of water in my driver/passenger footwell and I've just noticed under the drivers seat is soaked too. I've done a lot of research on here any can't really find any conclusive...
After a little bit more research a few people have said it is possible to change without completely removing the dash, is this possible? Can anyone shed anymore light?
Thanks
Hi all,
I've come home to a duff heater matrix (losing coolant, puddle of water on the passenger footwell and only blowing hot air) but just wondered before I start the job of replacing it whether anyone had done this job themselves? Also am I better to get the proper Renault item? I've had a...
Told him to remove it otherwise I would report him and got:
"apologies but i can't take them down. it don't let me it only lets you add pictures. auction ends in a few days anyway and i have until tomorrow for what????"
The best part of his ad is the bit that says "these pics are a few weeks...
I was just browsing ebay, looking at prices of clios and found this one:
