I bought some rain repellant from a company called aqua wax, it's ok but you have to be doing like fifty for it to bead off. As most of my driving is to work so 30-40 ish I wondered if the stuff from gtechniq would be more beneficial?
After alot of rain last night most of the roads had a lot of surface water on them today. As I was driving I noticed it go into limp mode. (Wouldn't rev high and sounded like a Subaru) after about 20 minutes of driving it started spluttering a bit then let out a few loud bangs like a rally car...
My 182 is the first car I've had with 'Rain Sensing Wipers' and they drive me insane.
When its only raining lightly, the intermittant wipe is not often enough for my liking so I have to keep clicking the stalk up then down/down then up to clear the screen.
Cue some normal UK rain for which a...
hi guys ive noticed the rear passenger floor is damp i know its a long shot and anything could be the cause of it i was thinking of giving the drainage gutters a clean as a complete idiot how would i go about it or find them

So it appears my rain sensor is missing, I guess the screen has been replaced and whoever did it didn't bother fitting a new one. Can I re-fit it or do I need a special screen with some sort of cut out?
Thanks
So in preperation to the trackday at the end of the month i thought id get the new pads and discs fitted so i could get used to them. from cold better than standard, and as they are used more they get much better :). No rattling or any annoying noises, cant comment on the brake dust issue as ive...
I fitted a set of these pads last night ready for a trackday next weekend.
Discs are Brembo HCs that have done about 2,000miles with Ds2500 pads.
I went for a gentle 5-6 mile drive to make sure everything was OK. Haven't properly properly given them death yet but I notice that under braking...

Hello
I'm replacing my thermostat on Wednesday and would like to drain all the current coolant (probably 8-10% coolant at the minute) and then replace the thermostat and fill up with fresh 50/50 coolant/water but not sure the best way to drain the coolant (and flush the old stuff out).
Anybody...
Just had some rainsports fitted. Still wearing them in obviously so can't really rate them yet. Just wondering what sort of pressures you think they should be at. Have heard a couple of people saying 34/31. There at 28 now so they need some air, just not sure how much.
Cheers

Heard a lot of good stuff on these.. I presume these are the correct fitment for my alloys?
If so, I'm buying them nextweek!
Haven't really posted any pics on here since I first joined but the car is starting to come together now.
Just a quick wash and polish before it started to rain as per the normal at the minute.
So since I got the car it now has a 3/4 size front plate and also been dropped on a set of K-Tec...
Morning all,
just wondering if someone could clear something up for me, I was out putting rain x on my windows last night (will upgrade to gtechniq g1 when I run out) but spilt a bit down my mirror and paintwork.
It says on the back 'do not use on plastic, painted parts etc etc' but I can't...

Tried this?
It's great, especially due to the weather we've been having up here recently.
Can't believe how much better it works than any other (cheaper) brands I've tried.
Worth the price tag for such a wee bottle
Guys,
I've been struggling with an intermittent misfire on the 172 Ph1 for a few weeks.
I've swapped the plugs, HT leads and coil pack for brand-new Renault items without success. The only thing left to change is the pre-cat Lambda but I'm doubtful this is the cause, unless someone thinks...
Hi, im needing 4 new tyres, after alot of searching on here im gonna go for the uniroyal rainsport 2's (They seem best suited to the normal rainy conditions of aberdeen and shire)
