1.4 Maxim spec and price help

Someone at work just asked what sort of price his son should be paying for a 98R reg, 50k Clio 1.4 Maxim. apparently very good condition. 5 door, sun roof, and alloy wheels.

Any one here give a price guide? over £2k i guess if it is well looked after with full history??

Also does anyone know the spec of Maxim? I used to own an RT, is there much difference? and is it insurance group 5 like the RT?

Can anyone help?

I had one before my valver. Sold it for £2450 with 41000 miles on it and almost fsh. Cant remember the insurance group tbh. Its got the same gearbox as the RSI. Was a great car, felt nippier than the 1.4 RT I had before it and the gearbox does make it more "sporty". Mine was a late 97 or early 98 model.

So pretty much same as the RT but rsi gearbox. did think it didnt have the extended dash. does it have electric windows do you know?

P reg Mk1 Phase3 Clio 1.4 RT

52K miles, FSH, Met. Green, Factory spoiler, factory alloys and leccy sunroof. Its not a maxim but it might has well have been one as its speced similar bar the zorst :-D

In absolute mint condition. The first owner lived on the island of mull in scotland, lol, you cant drive 25miles without getting on a ferry, she took a 3yr exd warranty too. The last guy who had it was a bloke in his 50s who did 12K miles in 2yrs then traded it in for a Freelander heheh.

Price was £2K but i talked him down to 1.6K, prolly as its difficult to sell a 8yr old Clio in a 4X4 garage

btw this was quite recent like, 3 months ago tops

I think it is group 4 or 5 insurance. As Speiro said, same gear box as the RSI.

I was looking at one, a very mint looking example owned by someone on here (sorry cant remember who) and I think that was about 2.5K, with similair miles, cept it was a 3 door.
