1 or 2 back box for 182 exhaust?!?

  172cup
Kind of silly question maybe but I've done a bit of research myself and nothing came up.
My lovely rusty stock exhaust still doing fine, so i ve got enough time to make the right decision about a potential replacement.
The forum is literally packed with threads about brands, noise level, performance etc
I'd like to know what you think about the single and double muffler exhaust system.
I know the single back box is lighter but beyond that, what makes one setup better than the other?(or doesnt make difference at all)
Thanks

I've got a miltek Cat back on my T. I love it and i'll always remeber the day i went all the way up to k-tec to get it. The sound is so sound is so good compared with the standard unit the sound and coming down the gears is suberb. It's not the loudest on the market i'd expect alot of people to say that would be a Yozza but in my opinion it's the nicest and most refine sound even. The system is 7Kg lighter than the standard and double box. It looks absolutely lovely even looking under the car all shiny. The only thing i would say with this system is that the weight balance isn't very good and the tail pipes are alot thicker than the standard. due to this it will were the exhaust mounts quiet quickly (Replaced mine after about 10 months and they were so destroyed the exhaust litterally lifted up and down pulling on the tail pipes. If anyone opps for this system makes sure you get genuine Renault Mounts as they will last longer.

The only thing i'd be worried about with a single box is that it will blow fume through the closest pipe. This is only cosmetic i suppose

muffler and back box is the same thing, isntit?

I like the Milltek very much, not loud and deeper note. didint even know it was 7 kg lighter (wow)
Id like just to understand whats the thought behind a single box for a 182.
I thought it was better splitting the gas between 2 boxs....but im not an expert.

Good question. I'm no expert either would like to see an awnser also. Cue the pros.................

(It's probably more than that as i expect you'll find a lot of water in there when you replace the standard)

There's literally no difference in performance between one aftermarket system and the next.

Milltek's are pretty hit and miss, there's been a lot of them that fall apart because of shoddy welding. You get a lifetime guarantee so it's not the end of the world, but a pain on the arse none the less.

Yozza is really the best system available. Excellent build quality and silly light. Much better option than the milltek IMO.
Also, as they're made to order, you can ask Fred to make you a quieter one if you wish.

I like the idea of saving weight and love the raspy sound of yozza too..............can you really make one a tad quieter, a gay version just for me?
