172 Cup Sprint/Track car

New boots and a harness bar added to my Sparco cage. A length of 38mm CDS tube and a couple of hours to scallop and stitch it in.

Ready for it's annual outing, next week. This yea,r Brands Hatch!

I'm interested to see what other members feel this car is worth, as I haven't used the car since brands in October 2017 and before that was Bedford in October 2016.

It does need an MOT, which I can arrange no problem. It's also overdue a cambelt change and needs new engine oil as it's done 3 track days since the last change it had.

2002 Car, 108,000 miles
I bought the car stock in 2011 at 106,300m and have slowly built it up over time. I must say it's the most fun you can have in a car on track, especially in the wet. As I said, I don't make the time to use it, so it's sat still for another 12 months. I have used the car for 4 track days and 2 sprints.

Some updates for this one!

Having stood still for 2.5 years and at times forgetting its sat there, it was decided that the Clio makes a comeback.

As it sat in my compound -

Spare parts storage bin essentially! -

I'm buying the necessary parts and the guys in the workshop nextdoor are carrying out all the work required in exchange for driving it on track.

The job list includes;
Replace alternator due to overcharging and knackering a dry battery.
Replace cambelt kit, dephaser and water pump.
Fit 182 manifold and K-tec link pipe
Replace front ARB bushes
Fit Gripper diff to gearbox

The aim was to complete the car in time for Bedford on the 19th June but unfortunately a delay in receiving the diff from Pure Motorsport and then a lack of bearings meant the car wasn't ready in time.

Engine out

The gearbox is still with Select motorsport who have installed the gripper diff, I am planning to pick this up tomorrow and then the guys can continue work.

Gearbox with new Gripper diff collected from Select Motorsport earlier today, should be going in next week all being well.

Upon reinstallation we discovered the bush that locates in here is no longer fit for purpose and requires replacement.

Could anyone suggest if the Yanoo Bush will fit with the PMS shifter?

Drove this at Brands on tuesday, first time with the Gripper diff.

Not selling! The car is incredible now. Just needs some new suspension and I think maybe some R888 and it will be even better.
