172 engine won't start! Fuel pump not running.

Hey. Trying to get a ph1 172 to start. The fuel pump isnt priming or running. If I wire a 12v to the pump, it will run fine.

What would be the best things to check?

the smaller relays in the engine bay, fella. Failing that probably an immobilisers issue

If you need some relays give me a shout, I know im not round the corner but you know where I live and not a million miles away

Ok. Cheers riley! The red light does go out, so I'm guessing the immobiliser is ok?

Whack the big red inertia / fuel cut off switch by the battery !!

Sorted! It was the earth to the shell near the fuel pump and the red button needed pressing. Cheers guys

Its a 172 engine in a Mk1 but hes running the full Mk2 UCH/MultiTimerUnit & ECU setup (as stock)

What Jordan said. Makes everything a lot easier in my opinion. Also, I have central locking, immobiliser, raid, trip computer blah blah blah. All works fine too!
