anyone had a running with a gti-6 in their 172 as my mate keep giving it the big one about how fast his car is and i think its a pile of crap. statisticly the clio should be faster (power to weight etc) also his car is standard and mine is a ph-quick with itg replacement filter, ktr stealth and eibach pro's what do you think?.....discuss

haven't seen him out in his car yet but im up for a race i have confidence in my hairdressers car as he calls it just wanted to hear some views, like yes i urinated all over one in reverse

I've had run ins with both a 172 and a gti-6 in the valver and both beat me by the same margin up the 1/4 at crail.....

If you think those mods on your 172 are going to suddenly send a GTI-6 back in time, man are you going to be gutted about where your money went

^^^^ was simply stating one car has toys the other doesent did the lot for 350 anyhoo as my exhaust fell off its a bonus being in the trade
also i hadnt seen a thread like it thus asking the question mr happy.

i have my reason for crashin into him....yeah it was my fault for actually thinkin i could keep up with it(thinkin it was a 1.4 as well) when it pulled away i realised my mistake didnt bother slowin down n trundled along at 70 and the car had stopped as quick as it went turnning into the tunning garage about 50m away and slammed on the brakes....locked up and hit him...turnned out to b a friend i hadn't sine since high school lol

i fully agree,iv had run ins over the years with 'slower' and 'faster' cars than mine and both won and lost to both,generally speakin all the hothatches ie the clio's from the renaultsports bk to the williams,the ctr's the gti6's etc all are roughly about the same with an average driver,but with conditions so different in every curcamstance u cant really say who or which one would be faster

Had a wee shot a trying to smoke a modded Gti-6 up a windy hill. He was all over me like a cheap suit but gave me the thumbs up for the effort.
