182 Cup Brakes advise

  Clio 182 + Cup Pack
Hi, I have seen lots and lots of threads discussing brakes but cant find the answers I need.

I am due for new discs and pads on the front and rear of my Clio 182 (cup packs added)

Is there any difference between the discs and pads on a standard 182 and a 182 with cup packs??

Also any advice on what to buy will be great!!

Thanks
Steve

i think the only difference is if you have TC or not.
(could also be something to do with ABS)
There is a toothed bit running round the centre for the sensor.

As Fred said they all have the same setup.

Rear I have always found standard disks and pads are good enough but up front really does depend what you use the car for? Casual Commuting? Occasioinal Track Days? Lots of Track action?

I think only on the Phase 1's the ABS ring is on the discs as oposed to the Phase 2's that are on the hub IIRC?

Nope, all Clio 2 sport (phase 1 or not) have the same set-up: in the front, ABS rings are on drive shaft with sensor on the hub; at the rear targets are on the disc it self with sensor on the hub.

To add more informations: they Have 280mm disc with 54mm calliper in the front and 238mm disc with 30mm calliper at the rear.

and all have 22,2 mm master cylinder...

The only difference between version is target type and sensor to suit electronic

Go for brembo HC disc and DS2500 pads with braided hoses and uprated fluid up front, the rear set up will be fine, just make sure the rear disc and pads arent worn out.
