182 died, now non-start

  FF 182 Petrol Blue
Hi,
Took the 182 out in the rain last weekend for a long run (it is normally only a dry runner!!) got back in it on the Sunday and the red "stop" and "battery" lights were on. The car was running fine so I still managed my journey home. After stopping the car, it then wouldn't start at all, just a loud clicking noise from the bay and all the electrics in the car appear to reset themselves.
Manged to jump it in first but the car then slowly died with all the electrics and eventually the car stopping. It has recently had a new battery so I am thinking alternator..... would you agree? Cheers.

Charge the battery up manually - if it then starts then yea, more than likely alternator.
