182 engine into a 172 PH1

Hi Guys,

A quick question would this be a faily easy swap to do? And if paying what sort of cost would there be?

Breathers on the rocker cover will be different.

£300 roughly for engine. Bit more if you want one with fresh cambelt etc.

I'd guess at 6 hours labour for someone who knows what they're doing. Coolant change while it's happening, add £25 for coolant. Clutch change also if never been done would be wise. That's another ~£100 for parts.

If you need a 182 engine with fresh belts, dephaser etc, drop Nick172cup a PM. He's also got a clutch with 500 miles on i believe.

Budgie I was weighing up the idea of buying a 182 engine that had some spec on it and dropping it in mine rather that buying cams and getting the bels done on mine. I reckon its about 50/50.
