182 exhaust on my 172 cup

  clio 172 cup
hello, im new to the french car seen and ive recently bought a 172 cup, however it is completey standard and im thiinking of doing a few 'mods'. I was thinking of putting a 182 style exhaust on the back and was after some advice on how to go about it and what is involved. thanks in advance :)

K-tec racing sell replica kits for the 172. A normal OE 182 exhaust, or any designed to fit it, will not fit a 172, as the 182 system runs through where the spare wheel wheel would normally be.

EDIT: As per post 2.

why dont do it?? bad experience?? and i dont know what else to do, i think the 182 exhaust looks good rather than a boy racer style normal one.

I dont like the twin pipes on the 182 and i own one.

And dont Ruin a 172 cup please!

I think a smaller Cup racer style single tip exhaust looks better especially on a cup like the OMP one. Heres mine though, a Longlife exhaust with a 2" tip...

The nicest exhausts I've seen on 1*2's are the single exit ones that have one (just one) of the 182 plastic exhaust bumper trims put into the bumper. Looks mint.

Depending where you are, Prospeed in Cardiff do an awesome job. Was down there recently and Charlie sorted me out with a full system with decat and tailpipe like the one Bazzon posted and tbh it is the s**t. Top quality system.

bazzon that looks sweet mate, i want that one now. any ideas and were do i start?

That one a a AAS (newcastle) System. Its a 3.5 inch tail pipe, inward rolled, slash cut.

Either find a "off the shelf" system from Ktec or similar or go to a proper custom builder.

Keeping it stealth is the best way on 172s IMO.

Also if you do cut in to the bumper it means if you ever decided to put the car back to standard it's a new rear bumper job.
