182: Hot (well warm) handbrake bolts. WTF

hmmmm

where the hand brake is bolted to the floor there are two bolts towards the front that stick out slightly from the plastic moulding. After a drive these are actually quite warm to the touch, is this normal !?!

I assume its coz the exhaust runs down the middle before it splits in two, so is probably close to the bolts. Cant say I ever noticed it when I had my 172.

heat transfer from the zorst, its gets fearsomley warm under the car, hence the pinging sounds when you get out (metal cooling down)
