182 rear quarter panel replacement - Part 2

I can't believe that two years have passed since I had the offside rear done.

Regardless, the nearside panel and a replacement bonnet were ordered from France yesterday. :)

ETA will be 2 weeks minimum and the body shop is rammed until February at the earliest. Still, at least the wheels are now in motion.

I went through the body-shop who did the work last time. They contacted Renault directly over in France on my behalf.

I think this is the way to go as opposed to cutting and welding. what sort of ballpark are you looking at for the job on 1 side?

Can you still get hold of window seals?

I‘m not after getting the panel replaced but I did notice my seals getting brittle and shrinking.

As per @JamesBryan below - that was pretty much the figure I paid when I had the drivers side done. Quite a bit of fabrication for that too - so I'm hoping the nearside is a bit less labour intensive.

@Matt Cup - you can, but they are silly expensive for what they are. I checked (admittedly about twelve months ago) and I believe they were around £350. I assume that was for a pair - but it is Renault we're talking about here! I assume that all Mk2 Clio doors are the same - it might be worth seeing if there's one at a scrappers where the seals aren't in too bad a shape?

That seal looks a bit strange. Has it had a new quarter glass in the past? It doesnt look like it's got the factory tint?
They are bonded in, but there's a seal inside as well.
Yours looks like it's coming out.
This is what mine looks like.

Ahhhh right. It does look a bit perished.
I think it should be ok though if it's bonded in.

Yeah it should be fine tbh, it barely leaves the garage as it is. I was just curious if the seals were separate and able to be purchased.
