197 Exhaust on a 172?

My question would be why?

Yes it would be do-able but i can't see a single reason for doing it

It wouldn't be a simple bolt on job of course, but at the end of the day it's just some bits of metal pipework so easy enough to chop about and make it fit eventually.

You do realise that the std 197 exhaust tips are black and hidden don't you? the only properly visible ones have had tailpipes added on (RS do there own but they look awful)

I'm sure I saw a custom exhaust on a 172 before which was twin pipe. But either end of bumper. Looked alright.
Think it was on a flame red 172.

;)

also them pics just show how much better it is than that stupid blingy 200 effort....

If you really wanted that style of system then go custom. Fitting a proper 197 exhaust would be a nightmare, the backbox is huge and would need the wheel well removed and you'd probably be able to see loads of it under the bumper.

I think he means custom. But 197 style. Twin exit, either end of bumper instead of how 182's are central.

I would go custom made jobby as it would be

Stainless
Specific sound to how you want it
Built around wheel well

Wait and see at CSS il be using 200 exhaust and diffuser on my 172 just because I want too. If you want to do it do it but it expensive if you want to do it properly..

Parts I'm using are :

182 boot floor panel to make it look o.e.m, clio 3 RS diffuser and the ktec system for the 200.

At the end of the day mine will be used on track so il give mine ago myself but if you want it sh*t hot a body shop can do anything..

It won't just bolt on there is a lot of work to make it fit but it's possible.. For example boot floor, rear brackets, cut and mod bumper, and the find away to attach it to bumper or like I'm doing have it on Zeus clips..

Does anyone know who's the RB 182 is?

I want to see some better pics.
